Yeah, I have noticed a few more 95% shots but I chalked it up to me not waiting until I get to the top of my backswing or I don't flick hard enough. Sometimes I have to purposely take a pause at the top and flick forward and usually there are no issues. Yup. This is what I do as well.

I had no idea making a Tour would somewhat emulate the wind we'd see in a tournament. Every time I've created a tour I may see 8-10 mph winds tops, In Tournament I have seen up to 18mph. So I would argue creating my own Tour may up the wind some..but it won't match tournament wind. It would be nice to be able to set the wind speed and many have said the same thing. I realize EVERYONE plays under the same conditions. I'm not the only one raising these concerns week after week yet I'm the only one being attacked for bringing it up. Because it comes off as blaming everything except your own game. That simple. It's coming across wrong then. That simple.

LOL...somone else who sees my concerns as b%&ing an moaning. Another internet warrior. Cute. Too funny. You would think that after a few of these, you may start to look at yourself as the problem.
I would highly encourage you to just start your own phlyerphanatic "I am a whiner" thread so you can just post your rants in that one single thread instead of posting in 30 different threads in the forum. That way if I want to see your complaining I can just go to one spot.
Again...it's coming off as whining. Maybe instead of attacking every post I make...offer some solutions. It's not meant to be construed as whining. Sorry if you see it that way. Just trying to improve my game and hoping to get some tips to do so.

Yeah, something is wonky here. I just played a practice round, and had FPS of about 40-60 for the same course. Much fewer 94% shots, definitely easier to hit the accuracy lines on both drives and approaches. It really does seem that the FPS affects my swinging quite a bit. Might have to turn down the details for tournament play. Can anyone else try this out and see if they get a FPS boos when not playing a tournament? Or maybe it's the wind calculations using up more resources with the stronger winds? Then again round 4 was more in line with a practice round and I capped at 30FPS. Weird.

There are many people in this community that are willing to offer their time to help people and I've seen many posts from people with hints and tips. There are you tube videos offering help and advice. I even saw one guy offering 1 on 1 lessons online just to be a good guy.
This is a great community and the help is there if you ask or look for it.
I've recently started playing with people online and talking to them as we play. Just having fun helps, believe me it does.
In the tour, there's nothing stopping you watching ghost balls and you can judge where they aim their shots just by watching.
When I started playing tgctours in May, I thought it was tough. Every circuit had cut lines and boy did I miss the cuts.
As they say, practice practice practice. That's what I did as well as read the helpful tips people post. I've gone from not finishing in the top 70 to picking up a couple of wins in CC-D just by practicing and watching a couple of YouTube videos.
Stick at it man, this isn't a game where being frustrated helps!

I average 15-20 FPS on every course at medium settings. Wish I could get up to 30FPS. Guess its time to up the video card.

Just trying to get as much knowledge as I can to translate that into better play. Again..I never meant for it to be seen as whining, I just had a concern about the winds and how they differ from practice to tournament and wondered how I could emulate the tourney winds in practice rounds. I can't add friends in Stream..and they aren't about to get my cash to do so.

Also, My tournament had 16mph wind so you can replicate what's happening.

Probably why you're struggling so much....... Also, My tournament had 16mph wind so you can replicate what's happening. I never even thought of FPS and how it could effect the game. Thanks. In my case the difference is massive now that I've tried two practice rounds with FPS bottoming in the low 40's as opposed to being capped at 30 which is what I saw in all rounds of todays tournament play. This does not necessarily mean a guaranteed lower score, but I definately swing much better and have better confidence in my swing with higher FPS. I don't see near as many low power shots or wild slices or hooks. It's a massive difference. Injust need to find out what's causing it. I'll try and create a tournament tomorrow on this course and see if I cap out at 30 again as I did tonight. if anyone else wants to test it out please do. I'll read it tomorrow after work. also I have no friends in game in case anyone wants to add me. I'm on PC.

I'm going to play with my settings a bit to see if I can gain some in game FPS. It was running smooth..I thought all was good.

I never knew how much FPS could translate into the game play, I've looked at that now and actually shaved 4 strokes off my personal best on Le Golf National. Just trying to gain as much knowledge as I can. Again..sorry if it came across as me being pissy.

You just have to persevere with practicing in the wind, funnily enough I got a ton of my experience there by not being a "wind waiter" and just playing whatever conditions I was landed with before the universal winds got fixed (which I can guarantee you, is 100% a good thing). Ok, it affected my tournament finishes for a while because I refused to "game" the system but now I have loads of rounds behind me in tough conditions and those who deliberately avoided them are having to learn as they go. Even if you're not selecting next week's TGC course as practice you can quite easily find courses on normal rounds that will almost always flag up double digit winds, tropical and links courses especially. You've just got to put the practice in if you really want to improve, sounds trite but that really is the only answer.
Even then, at this level you have to accept bad rounds, I won last week's tournament and here I am today posting an 80 on what I would consider to be a much more forgiving course than any we have had in the last month or so, I'm not blaming anyone but myself for that, I have to work harder on my own game to make sure that doesn't happen.
