Sorry, but I don't think 13 mph wind is unfair. The first round of the Web event last week had 22 mph wind. 13 mph was the lowest wind I had in round 1 and that was on the 1st tee. Most times it was 15mph-18mph. It's not a point of how "fair" it is. The problem is we can't practice in those winds, we have no way of getting better in the wind because of that fact. You can't jump to another course because conditions differ from course to course. We need to be able to set winds high on the course we play in the tournament, until we can do that..practice rounds are useless other than the fact you know what the greens do. The thing that keeps getting lost in your analysis is it's the same for everybody. Once you learn how to adjust for wind, you simply extrapolate your knowledge to the conditions.

Man oh man. It's tough to play a round after you 5-PUTT a par 3 on the 2nd hole. ACK!
I couldn't believe it. The tough part is, I had a birdie putt. All were make-able and under 10 feet! The damn putts all sloped to the left/right. Back and forth I went, FIVE times.
Unbelievable. But -- I played the rest of the round knowing that it was an easier course and I couldn't play another 16 holes without concentrating. I ended up doing great (for me) and had it down to +1 at one point. Then, I put up a +4 on the 18th hole.
I like the 18th hole, but I tried to get up on that uber-elevated green in 2. It ended up on the edge, so that my guy had to stand there with his anti-gravity golf shoes on. THAT show, however, just chopped backwards, and I was so close to the huge cliff that I couldn't loft one enough to get back on.... unfortunately I think that the limitations of the hole's design really did sort of screw me.
A 79 isn't even that bad after those two major disasters. And I'm so happy using a controller that shoots straight that I really am not super frustrated. I am curious, though, if anyone else has any thoughts on that crazy #18. Like I said, I enjoy the hole, but is it a good hole to have in this game due to limitations?

Back 9 killed me. 73 and 71 so far Even is a great score through 2 rounds. The back 9 can be a killer though.

It seems that it's more likely to be windy in tournaments than single rounds.

Had that -72 thing again and game kicked me out of the first hole on round 3. I think I was able to get it back because I shut down and went back and it was back to normal. End of round 3 has me at -72.

Well, glad to see that there are a variety of "haves" and "have nots" this week. Personally, I did not handle the winds too well for the first 2 rounds, two of the worst rounds in a while. If the winds are the same for all, then I have to wonder about the statements of seeing some go up to 18mph in round 1. Did see them go to 15, but pretty much stayed at 13-14 for me the entire match. Not saying they didn't of course, just did not see that. Enough about the winds for me, they are what they are, we don't like them, then we don't play them. My stance on this has been pretty clear since Jan of this year, no need to beat a dead horse or put them out here again to be ignored.

Better than recent tournaments but so many missed putts and silly shots could have been so much better, wanted to finish level for 72 holes but never got close

74 80 75 77 = +18 Better than the last tourney where I scored +29 and 1 stroke better than the tourney before that. I was aiming at +12 or less, but I think I 3 or 2 putted on the 18th in the last round to throw that away. Then, I put up a +4 on the 18th hole. I like the 18th hole, but I tried to get up on that uber-elevated green in 2. It ended up on the edge, so that my guy had to stand there with his anti-gravity golf shoes on. Well TBH, I don't think all par 5's should be reachable in 2. You took a risk and it bit you in the end. I always try and play that hole to land my 2nd in the fairway before the bunkers and pitch it up close to the flag hoping for a chance at birdie. (Not trying to knock you, just giving you my view).

A lot of par 5 holes are there to tempt us. If there's water involved i tend to play it as a 3 shoter because too many times i have found myself punished for being greedy.
The 18th hole, its a nice hole. I think when the wind allowed me to take it on my consideration was what was at the back of the green simply because you cant hold the woods on the greens. My memory isnt great these days but i think i only took it on once in the 4 rounds. The other 3 rounds i layed up well short of the bunkers

Low scores so far compared to earlier tourneys. Seems like the bug is back showing all (or in tje case of the leader results for 1, 3 and 4) rounds for aome players.
Will get my round 1 in tonight. Not expecting any sub-par scores from me over 4 rounds.

73-72-80-69 (+6) for me, so I won't be following up last week's win sadly. Didn't make enough of the birdie opportunities in the first two rounds, and then started truly abysmally in round 3, I think I was +5 after six holes, three putts galore.
Never mind, hopefully it's still solid enough to nab a top 20 spot, that is my base aim at the moment. To those struggling, when I first started (albeit on the Champions Tour when there were 1 and 2 flights, so the player field for each tournament was much bigger) it was merely my aim to finish outside the bottom 10%. It's just practice and experience, and eventually you really will improve.
