Played the elite round currently up legend/no tempo on the Xbox x series. Shot -9 after round 1. Had to be a bit more careful with the putting than I was expecting but otherwise I had a bloody lovely time not having to worry about the tempo That being said I think I’d get more attuned to the putting over time but otherwise while I did enjoy not having to worry about tempo (and i might turn off tempo while learning a course in the future) I didn’t feel I was really being stretched skill wise on what is quite a long tricky course (running water) and it certainly felt easier than last seasons skill settings. I’m not sure whether it would be appropriate for beer league playing master clubs with last year’s setting would be more challenging than this IMO

I do wonder whether there is a need for the beer league following the change. If people want hard, go true sim, but unless there is a large pro am player base If I was a new player I’d sooner play with people my level in cc-whatever or qualifying than get a massive variety of player skills born out of a variety of reasons.

I enjoy having a Beer League around, as it gives us designers another chance to get a course on tour.

There's still a ton of players out there playing at Pro-am. While Pro swing will atttact new players, not sure for Pro-Am players though. Cause there's not alot here. Probably those unable to make the cut in the Beer League, unable to play under -5 with régularity could seek a breather. Could be Pro-Am with all kind of tweaks too. Remove the green grid and schedule tough course and extreme condition every week. That could be something I would join If I get bored in the main tour. A true fun league

A true fun league In my eyes, and this is all a personal choice thing, a pro-am tour that only plays tough courses with extreme conditions and no green grid sounds like the opposite of fun to me. But to each their own.

Beer League should be a place where those who don't want to play regular tours can still play...seems like everyone is in agreement there.
I don't think having Beer League at the same difficulty level (Pro) as the main tours makes much sense, even if you turn the swing meter on. Heck, that's basically already the official PGA 2K21 society.
I think the idea of a Beer League set to no-tempo or I guess even pro-am makes sense...easier than the main tours, but at the very least it will be different. My understanding is that Beer League is the "recreational" component of TGCT, so I don't really understand why the need to tinker and mess with it so much, or make it an "extreme" thing.

When they tinkered and made the change to pro swing for all pro tours that left not place for master swing guys like myself. The thought was to compromise? And make beer league the place for us to go play competitively. After just a few people posting I guess they determined that won’t work so let’s make it even easier. Least that’s how I view it. Now, the reason they changed to pro swing. Was to provide for fairness and inclusiveness, that is now gone and along with it probably a lot more people. See no reason at all why this should be so difficult. Make it fair for everyone. You did that for the xboxers and the CC guys who struggle. What about the rest of us?

I understand, and I thought that idea worked as well. But it seems the die has been cast, and Beer League will stay a "recreational" league. To be completely honest, I don't really see the need for any of the changes coming (it's just moving goalposts IMO) and I'm likely not coming back to the main tours (I'm just plain not good enough), so it is what it is. Not to mention the fact that this game won't be fair for certain users on certain consoles until HB/2K decides the series needs to be truly cross platform. Until then, it's all just a seemingly futile effort to me.

I can only suggest because there was little positive feedback and an uncertainty whether the Masters guys would go there or just stick playing Pro level to keep their WGR going even though it's not their level of choice. I don't know.

Disclaimer: I'm sticking to the regular tour and TST, but here are some settings that I believe might make sense for the updated Beer League.
All settings like regular tour (Pro swing) with the following modifications.
1. Distance Control Meter - Putting Only 2. Pro Vision: True Shot - On 3. Pro Vision: Trajectory - Aim Only
Thoughts/rationale: a. This keeps the Beer League on an easier setting than the regular tour. b. This provides a larger difference in settings than Distance Control Meter only and allows for slightly different playstyles than the regular tour (True Shot can lead to some creative clubbing). c. Losing the distance control meter is a big leap for some people. This leaves the training wheels on for putting, but gets them playing other shots without it to show them that it is doable and not as bad as they thought. d. This would cater to two groups who might be interested in TGCTours but not the regular tour. 1. People who want to go really low. These are the folks who appear unassuming on the outside, but who take all your money on Saturday morning because they're so good. They are... the Hustlers. 2. People new to the game who might want/need a step before jumping into the regular tour. These settings will allow them to play TGCTours competitively while also honing their skills. Seeing the effects of True Shot on distance and trajectory gives them feedback on every Shot they take and might give them confidence to join the regular tour. They are... the Up-and-Comers.
I looked at the other Pro Vision settings, but they remove the information needed for comparison. For example, Pro Vision Wind removes the wind speed and direction from the HUD, Pro Vision Lie Penalty removes the percentage from the HUD, Pro Vision Lie Angle removes the lie grid, Pro Vision Elevation removes the elevation from the HUD. So all that's done in the background with no learning potential for the player.

All settings like regular tour (Pro swing) with the following modifications. 1. Distance Control Meter - Putting Only 2. Pro Vision: True Shot - On 3. Pro Vision: Trajectory - Aim Only I just played a causal round with settings 2 and 3 above turned on (I actually always play with the meter set to putting only in local rounds). I know it's only on for a little bit when aiming, but I do not like having that blue arc showing at all. That just screams "arcade" to me and feels artificial. I don't know, others might feel different, but since this game has been out for over a year at this point, adding an aiming arc into any of the tours feels like a step backwards and like we're adding unnecessary training wheels back on. Even if this is to be a "recreational" league still, it just seems going way too much in that direction. Personally, if you're going to use Pro for Beer League, just go with the Distance Control Meter set to "Putting Only". Then, BL players will get percentages on all other shots, while getting the putting meter. That right there makes it "easier" and doesn't include that blue arc...

I thought the beer league was going to be set on master or legendary for the hardcore gamers and the pro tours were changing to Pro or have you changed your minds.

If people we’re happy to play the main tours with master settings I don’t see why they can’t just set the beer league up with the same settings all they are loosing is the ability to promote or demote.
