I'm on PS4 and I swear we don't see the jagged grid lines at all no matter what I do with the graphic option settings. (Maybe someone found a way?) When Doyley used to stream to show us how it worked, I saw it perfectly and it made sense. I'm not complaining at all but I guess it disadvantages console players the more I think about it. Great tip though.

Great news to know that it might be seen on console.

Great news to know that it might be seen on console. I hit the triangle button and the use the analog stick to move around while keeping the angle low, but moving left and right to find where the angles are. This applies both for this tip and for slowly moving up the green to read the putt bit by bit in a more traditional fashion or reading.

Thank you Steve2golf! Somehow, I found this explanation a bit clearer. Now, I only have to put all that into practice..., and make my puts! Cheers

Soooo many tips in here I lost my way a bit.
Putting was my biggest issue (apart from stopping on hard greens but I will get to that later).
I tried booms tip but on PS4 on a 60 inch tv the line never truly looks straight.
I tried wags and whilst I get it I felt anything under 15 feet and I was overstating the break using the numbers and anything between 15 and 25 I was understating it but anything greater than that it was good.
I decided I will just go it alone for putting until I get better through experience. Especially since there is no 1 way everyone is having success.
So I tried boom booms practice course... went 10+. Presume that's ok? It was tough but while I didn't stay even I learnt a lot about speed and large breaking putts.
I'm going to play it again now...
Thanks for reading.

Nearly.
+1 (18th mind you) (have photo evidence)
I will be back tonight to go even.
Obviously I'm getting better cos I know the putting course but let me just say... boom boom has made this tough (the 16th 😡). So if you have reasonable approach shots you won't have to deal with these 40, 50, 60 and yes 70 foot monsters.
So what this course does is teach you how tough it can be so when you get a 16 foot slight right hander you can nail it all the time. ( well that remains to be seen but this course helps)

Worth it just for the tip about going offline to enable wind - I didn't know that. At last I can practice in wind! I imagine making a links course for practice, hopefully, might ensure stronger winds. Having now tried it,it's a great pity there is no going back to play the same shot over and over - I had expected to be able to do that. This guy has the same name as my dad
