Thought I might post some tips on game play from time to time here to help all levels of players except anyone better than me. Lets start with a basic tip. Get your lazy a$s in the designer and take a minute to create a giant dead flat green like the one pictured below. This is used to putt and practice various distances for various green speeds and also for full club mapping. Now for a more advanced tip: The shot shaper, did you know that 1 pixel of movement on that thing can be as much as 7 yards. That there my friends is the difference between a tap in and a 20 foot putt. 1 single pixel of movement on the shaper. You can have all the charts in the world, but if you cannot set the shaper properly you are absolutely toast from the get go. So, using the handy dandy driving range I just gave you, figure out how to move the shaper in consistent intervals. Use clicks, fast movements, whatever floats your boat, but figure out to move that thing in consistent intervals, preferable as small as 1 pixel of movement, now chart your club distances. 1 pixel/movement = X, 2 pixel/movement = X 3 pixel/movement =X and etc and so on. So what do you think, should I keep going?

One more for today, but it's a big big one. BoomBoom, HTF do you make so many putts from all over the fckn place? Well my friend, it's not about feel, experience, maybe a little luck, but i have an excellent way to pick and approximate starting line. Then depending on green speed and consistency of the break I adjust from there. Obviously i don't make them all, but this method gives me much more than my share. Ok picture below is the putt I'm faced with, yeah it's an easy one but I'm using for an illustration to the method I use. Now I set the marker for the distance I intend to hit and turn the opposite way of the way of the break till the grid lines go flat and level and take note of how far I turned. Little mistake in the below photo, the marker should be out to the distance I intend to hit........ I then turn and go an equal distance back away from the hole and hit the putt. Adjustments I will make from this method, slower greens I will play a little less break, faster greens I will play a little more, and I will adjust for inconsistent breaks between me and the hole. i.e double breakers maybe. How fckn simple is that folks!!!!! Tomorrow, the wind, how to break wind like a pro without the beans.........................

What Ola said!!! lol
Explain a little more in detail what you are talking about with the "pixel" movement in the shot shaper? Kinda lost in that one
Great tip on the putting also....

Terry A pixel is generally thought of as the smallest single component of a digital image. Everyone I see play just willy nilly moves that thing without a care in the world, but in reality, the slightest of all movements or miss from the intention has a huge impact. Figure out to the pixel, how to move that thing to the smallest and slightest bit and try to get extreme to the pixel accuracy.

Lets face it, these tips are not cheats or easy fixes, they are meant to take you with some hard work far beyond what you expect to accomplish from this game. Its a small glimpse at what I figured I needed to do, what I worked on, how I practiced. Most people cannot and will not go to this extreme to play better and are happy to just speed their way along. These were/are advanced tips meant for the serious player looking to play better and get their best possible outcome.
Casual players, need not bother, the advanced tips just wont help them, but they don't need the help in any event.

If you find these tips help, and wish to thank, and are able to do so, just donate a couple bucks to the TGCTLive page.
Tomorrow, lets break wind together.

Will do. Thanks again for the tips. Look forward to breaking wind with you! Thank You. Yep we are going to do the Doyley Jig, but first up we will be charting the sucker and using what we just learned about hitting our accurate club distances.

Cheers for the tips Boom, that putting one is new to me, sounds intriguing and I'll give it a shot.
The shot shaper, as you say, can be a temperamental beast until you start getting the precision down lol
