The biggest cheats on this game are the wind waiters. It absolutely plagues the tour I am on, people blatantly refusing to hit a ball unless the wind is below 5mph. HB fixed this issue and then decided to pull the plug on the fix with no explanation. Maddening. I thought they DID explain? There was a stuttering issue that was happening and it was due to Ghost balls + wind change. There was no way to fix it on the fly so they pulled it out and have since corrected it. It will go back out in the next push. That's my understanding anyway.

If you have to cheat at a golf video game, then you're a complete and utter loser.

I couldn't care less about ghost balls anyway so that explanation coupled with the fact that they have not been very forthcoming in explaining any of the details has been pretty frustrating.

I mentioned this before but their game is largely about Ghost balls. That's a bigger priority than the wind change. So, imo, it was pretty obvious they were going to fix that first. And they did tell us why..

In a small defence of the hori man I used to play Tiger online and everyone, EVERYONE used a hori pad, if you didn't then there was no point playing online. We don't use them on here though, we play as the course is with normal controller settings, if you don't then they will find out and you will be @!$#ed

I've got to agree with Mitchblue on this one. I've had highish winds all four rounds this week but my putting and chipping have been better and I'm scoring well. I would hate to think that the perception is that I'm wind waiting. Nary a shot without 10-14 mph winds this week.

HB fixed this issue and then decided to pull the plug on the fix with no explanation. Maddening. There was an explanation just not a good one. The change to wind(which was a good start) caused severe lagging in tournament mode when using ghost balls. They should have just issued a workaround to turn ghost balls off, we shouldn't even be using them when playing in a tournament. They have said that the issue will be fixed in the next update(Not to be confused with DLC).

with these loose joy sticks on these MS controllers and ps4 controllers and the even wider margin of error with the mouse i find it hard to believe anyone is shooting low rounds in the 60-58 range without abusing the straight shot rule... just like in the TW series if you wasnt using an after glow or some other controller you wasnt shooting -25 and holing out from the fairway on a consistant basis...
the golf club has so many random factors like backwards foot lies, underwhelming and overwhelming winds... even the slightest tug and your ball is 20 feet left or right of the pin.. now im a decent putter but im not making enough 20 ft putts to be shooting a 60.. i understand some ppl are really good at this but i also believe they are abusing the straight shot rule..
its a stupid rule, i use a MS or sony controller and some days im really good but more often than not i have a small pull at the top and like i mentioned b4 its a 20 ft difference... i adjust for it but we all know once you adjust then for some reason you hit it perfect..
ive seen 58's and 59's all over the leader boards, you mean to tell me you did that with a MS controller....
maybe i just havent played enough and im not that good......

I shoot my few and far between 58's and 59's on XB1 with the stock XB1 controller and I welcome anybody to examine my rounds for suspicious activity

You're just flat out wrong.
Correct. Deal with it.

You are just so wrong. Fact of the matter is you are not good enough and because you are not capable of hitting decent scores without cheating then that must obviously mean no one is! Iv hit 55 and 56s using stock controllers. We are just better than yourself and you can either continue to live in denial about it in which case we don't want to hear your false accusations or you can suck it up, do something about it, learn the game and improve. Deal with it.

It's one of those things that if you can't explain something or accept that you may not be as good at something, then it must be because others are cheating.
I saw it a lot playing FPS games. You kill a guy 3 times in a row and suddenly you are a cheater and, in some cases, get booted from the server.
Cheating happens but is vastly over-estimated.
In places like ours we will do our best to weed out the cheaters but otherwise you are wasting your breath complaining about cheaters. Play the game because you love it and you love the competition, not because you think you should get a top 10 every week. You'll drive yourself crazy worrying about who is cheating or isn't. Better to just assume everyone is honest until informed otherwise. Or just don't play. We, of course, would prefer you all choose the former.
