Flamingo, There is no place for you here if that is your mentality. You should probably be preemptively banned on principle. I have to half agree with this comment. Anyone condoning the use of hori controllers and the like purely on the basis that everyone can access does not need to be here. And even your argument is full of holes anyway. What about those that can't afford? Tourney Marshalls check his rounds, I say.

ask ur mum. ROFL JUST KIDDING! I've been playing golf games on console for a long time so I think about half the shots I can hit either 100% perfectly straight or very close to it so that it doesnt affect the ball flight, but a few other times it is a little off here and there and once in a while a little slice or hook. No one is perfect and even so with how random the balls/greens/wind/lies and everything else you wouldn't know if someone was cheating or not. I'm positive they are out there. They just arent lighing it up on the scorecards lol

cheating is cheating i understand that... but in some folks eyes a controller with better axis tension is just a part of the game... as for those who cant afford a 10c ruler or a 25$ wired controller? yet your playing on a 500 console or better yet a 2k$ rig.......
when golfer cant find the fairway and go get fitted for a shaft that suits their play style is that considered cheating? everyone cant play with a flex shaft, should i be band from my local muni cuz i use a stiffer shaft?

A new shaft doesnt make you hit the ball perfectly straight every time.. If there was something that magically did it would be banned.. Obviously.

Belly putters were just made illegal.. Isn't that something anyone could buy that suits peoples play style? Your argument is asinine. A modded controller is not and should not be allowed in this game due to the advantage you gain when you play with it regardless if "anyone can get one". If everyone had one this game wouldn't be worth playing because then it's all down to who can do math better to figure out where to aim their 100% perfect shot every time. It's not just a controller with a better axis. There's a reason it doesn't matter if you use a Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3, PS4 controller or a mouse. Those are your tools you can choose from to "suit your play style". A controller that gifts you a perfect shot almost regardless of what you do is cheating. Plain and simple.

You have to be trolling It's a computer golf game with a community on tgctours that promotes fair play. Your arguments are laughable.

If that poster genuinely truly believes that hori controllers should be allowed as it is equipment that improves there game they are not welcome here If there was a shaft that made the golfer magically hit the ball straight everytime, that would be banned. Your argument and examples don't even relate to the same thing. I do not want to play a game where everyone on tour is taking half the skill away from the game because they are guaranteeing themselves they will never hook or slice the ball. That's not golf that's idiocy and not what the game is all about. For that matter, nor does anyone else. Your rounds MUST be checked from here on and previously after your comments imo

I think some may be coming on a bit strong here to the new poster. While mod controllers are not allowed and will lead to a ban - OP is free to have whatever opinion on the matter as long as he/she follows the rules.
OP - what you are describing is clearly not in the spirit of the game (of golf) - and as this is a community that values that spirit you will take some heat voicing those opinions.

Nope. Its all about edging and other means. When youre only 1 or 2 pixels 90% of the time, its just BS. And thats my 200 cents! Together with the failed wind-fix, this game has lost its fun. Signing off the Tour, and just playing some of the beautiful creations from CLV will suffice for me from now on. Have fun.... To be extremely accurate 1 pixel is pretty rare too, prob about 5-10% of the time but 2-3pixels off definately 75% of the time I'd say. Then worse than 4 or 5 pixels about 10% and shanking about 5% of the time to. Not sure if that adds up to 100% but that's abut me in a nutshell.... Whats yours then Andrew? What do you find. "1-2 pixels"? - is that what you call that wipe-fade / slice of yours? LOL.

Ok, so since we're on the subject, I have an issue I'd like to talk about. Occasionally, when I play an actual TGC tourney, I often like to play with a couple of ghost balls from people that shoot low, and I turn the turn order on, just to give me a little more competition and whatnot. Anyways, I'm not going to name names on here, but there is one individual, who is even qualified for the US Open, that had a very suspicious round. Multiple times in one particular round a few weeks back, he would completely miss the cone.. I mean a flat out shank to the right.. and the ball would go perfectly straight down the fairway. It wouldnt even move just a little bit. I mean they were bad misses, where if it happened to me, I would be in the woods. Now, I have no way of knowing what kinds of winds they played in, but it would almost have to be hurricane force winds to keep these misses dead straight! And like I said, its not just one shot Im talking about.. this happened throughout the round. I havent watched any of this guys rounds lately, so I dont know if this is still going on or not. I didnt have my phone or camera with me at the time I played, or I would have reported this to Doyley. It was that suspicious.
In a couple of unrelated incidents in the last month or so, by other golfers than the individual I just talked about, I've noticed a lot of chipping on the greens too. Most of these incidents occured when the golfer was on the collar of the green & fringe, but the ball lie display in the upper right, clearly said "Green".
I dont want to nitpick or be a tattle tale, but Im a stickler for the rules, especially when it comes to golf. The ultimate sport of integrity, where the players police and penalize themselves. I guess Im going to start having my phone with me when I play.
