I guess 80% is "cheating" with edging or other means. No way are you gonna hit 95% straight shots without any means of help. Not even 30%. This game is riddled with wind-cheaters, edgers and others. eh? 80% of people are not hitting perfectly straight shots 95% of the time and certainly none of the top players are... Just because you cant hit good shots consistantly doesn't mean everyone can't? I hit it outside of the cone maybe once a week?

i dont get this straight shooter rule.. i use a normal MS wireless controller and i usally hit a perfect shot 95% of the time.. ive always had a knack for hitting it straight since my EA days... i stream on twitch lots so if a member comes in and sees me hitting good golf shot i could be punished? You don't. If you did you would be Dq'd. I'm sure there are 1 or 2 pixels that unless you are looking close at the screen you will barely see from a distance that you are out from hitting it straight.

No mate they could tell easy if you were I'm sure. this. It's easy to tell. People get the wrong idea and think they have hit a perfectly straight shot when they are 1 or 2 pixels out. This is not the case. That is NOT a perfectly straight shot. It's a very good shot but not a PERFECTLY STRAIGHT one. If you were doing perfectly straight ones even more than 20% of the time you would be instantly Dq'd and anyone claiming to do so needs their rounds checked imo to ensure they aren't using a hori!

I hit a dead straight one about 2% of the time..... It's very rate but I hit maybe 1 or 2 pixels off most of the time. I have most of my misses to the right so when I am lining up my shot I aim a tad left always to factor in the swing being off. There can't be a way that anyone could get more than 5-10% dead straight swings IMO.

Would being so close to a quality monitor help pc players then? They see the red cone better?

Nope. Its all about edging and other means. When youre only 1 or 2 pixels 90% of the time, its just BS. And thats my 200 cents! Together with the failed wind-fix, this game has lost its fun. Signing off the Tour, and just playing some of the beautiful creations from CLV will suffice for me from now on. Have fun....

To be extremely accurate 1 pixel is pretty rare too, prob about 5-10% of the time but 2-3pixels off definately 75% of the time I'd say. Then worse than 4 or 5 pixels about 10% and shanking about 5% of the time to. Not sure if that adds up to 100% but that's abut me in a nutshell.... Whats yours then Andrew? What do you find.

I hope you don't ban the perma left shank because I'd be in trouble.

i still dont understand the rule... a few years back in EA tw 12 i think when they had the masters and the forced caddie ppl would complain about others using an after glow controller... like using a MS controller makes you any worse of a golfer than others... the after glow controller was like 25$.. now i saw some controllers online for 100 and my point is every one has the same opportunity to buy these controllers.. i dont consider it cheating if you spent your money on a controller to give you an edge when everyone else has the same access to that same controller..
if you was invited to a tour and was handed a basic set of clubs you would use them as best you can but the first chance you got to buy better equipment to improve your game you would... golf is only 20% about hitting it straight the rest is math... im sry im not mad at ppl who try to use what ever they can to hit their ball a lil straighter...

Uh it's cheating because it takes no skill to use. You get banned if caught for using those controllers in games you know.. Steroids are not cheating in baseball then cause everyone has access to them.

Flamingo,
There is no place for you here if that is your mentality. You should probably be preemptively banned on principle.

Flamingo, There is no place for you here if that is your mentality. You should probably be preemptively banned on principle. I have to half agree with this comment. Anyone condoning the use of hori controllers and the like purely on the basis that everyone can access does not need to be here. And even your argument is full of holes anyway. What about those that can't afford?
