Hmm. I would say for me it is the career mode. More immersive, more beyond just golf as well. Would be great if you could use funds to buy homes, vehicles, even personal aircraft to go to events. Even have it where you can earn money to belong to better practice facilities. That will open up better coaches and even caddies that will enhance your stats.
Would like to see an amateur tour you start on. Where the courses won’t be as prestine or well taken care of. Maybe even start you off with an hook or slice as your stock shot. And also have over seas tours. Make it more world wide versus the 2k stock courses. Get Europe and the orient involved.. along with the Middle East and Africa.
The current career modes they had were just so blah. One thing we have with 2k is the huge library of user created courses. Let us utilize them in our own way.
I truly feel 2k will do something just amazing with 2k25

Upgrade the designer with new assets/themes/backgrounds lots of courses looking pretty stale now. Dry stone walls, waving flags on flagpoles, single people you can place anywhere even on balconies of clubhouses.

Fix bunker construction to allow stacked sod and pot bunkers. Ask whoever created the bunker tools for Sierra PGA Championship 2000 to come back and do it again. They had it right.
Allow lateral and regular hazards to help improve strategic design.
Let's not play against LPGA pros in PGA tour events.
Fix the scores so during the interminable cut in's during career rounds, the scores shown for other pros match the leaderboard.
Create real shot types like knockdowns, punches, stingers, etc.
Video capture the pros' real swings and celebrations. This shouldn't be that hard.
A Tiger slam version to be able to play famous moments in Tiger's career like you can do with Jordan in NBA 2k.

Brand new graphics engine.
Sometimes you're playing the game and you think "ah, that looks really good."
But other times it's like you're playing a PS2 game.

If they're gonna have different types of balls, only spin and flight should vary between them.
Allow for picking balls clean off the sand, it shouldn't be an automatic distance penalty.
Fix the avatars in relation to setup, ball below the feet looks ridiculous and overall they tend to stand too close to it anyway. Choke down on it when playing chips, and perhaps have an option to grip down on clubs for fuller shots for additional distance control instead of it only being reliant on swing length.
Also with short game including putting, fix the takeaway so it actually lines up with the stick move instead of sitting there then suddenly moving back. I'm better at chipping it close in real life than this game because the reaction time is ridiculous. I like that it's more difficult than the last game but distance control doesn't resemble reality.
There's probably others I can't think of right now. Agree about a better career mode, I'd like the option to play with others in a group in that mode, solo play is a bit boring.

One of the things that I feel could make a massive improvement in both immersion and interest to the game is to make the different equipment options make a difference in game. What I mean by this is that, irl, OEM golf equipment companies design several different types of clubs to appeal to different types of players and I would like to see that represented in game. For example, Taylormade currently has two different drivers, two different fairway woods, 3 different hybrids, two different utility irons (which need to be added to the game in general 😉), 6 different types of irons, one line of wedges (3 different bounce options), several different putters, and several different golf balls. Some clubs/balls are designed to help beginners/less skilled players play better. Other clubs/balls are designed to help better/more consistent players get the highest performance out of their game. To explain what I mean here, let’s use Taylormade’s Stealth 2 and Stealth 2+ drivers as an example. The Stealth 2 is designed with features to help less skilled players hit higher, straighter drives. This could be reflected in game with a small boost to swing plane, tempo, and forgiveness balanced by small penalties to workability and carry distance. The Stealth 2+ is designed with features to help better players hit specific shots and fine tune their ball flight to their preference. This could be reflected in game by boosting workability and carry distance while penalizing forgiveness, swing plane, and tempo.
Piggy-backing on the more in-depth equipment, I’d also like to see the addition of licensed shafts and grips to the game. Proper shaft fit can make quite a noticeable difference in ball flight and distance and different grips would add another level of fun customization opportunity.
The last thing I’d really like to see is for the sponsorship system to receive an overhaul. I like the concept in 2k23 of sponsorship tiers but feel it could be much better and more immersive. To elaborate, a tier one sponsorship is a bare bones sponsorship. A company signs you to their terms (non-negotiable) and the player receives a small discount on equipment and apparel (20%?) and gets a small earnings bonus based on their performance while using/wearing equipment and apparel. This would be the most common scenario while on the smaller tour(s). Tier two would be a little more player friendly in the way that players would be able to dictate some of the terms of the contract (length, compensation, signing bonus, etc.). Rewards could be negotiable here too. Players could adjust sliders such as the discount they receive on equipment/apparel and the reward they receive based on their performance. In exchange for better rewards, companies could be more demanding on both their performance expectations of the player and the longevity of the players commitment to the company. If/when the player signs the sponsorship deal, they’re obligated to abide by the stipulations of their contract. They can be penalized for not meeting the requirements of contract with too many violations resulting in the termination of the contract and forfeiture of remaining signing bonus and any other rewards. This tier would cover most pga tour players and maybe a few of the elite Korn Ferry guys. Tier 3 would be very player friendly as at this point the player has established him/herself as a consistent performer and has multiple companies competing for their endorsement. At this tier, players would gain access to exit clauses(ways out of their current contract with little or no penalty) and receive free equipment and apparel with the trade off of fairly high performance and loyalty expectations from the sponsor. Penalties for violation of contract would be more severe. This tier would represent most of the top 75 FedEx points guys. Tier 4 would be a total equipment/apparel sponsorship. The kind you see guys like Rory and Rahm getting. Only for the best of the best. I think a neat option here would be the ability to create your own fitting for clubs and design your own logo to add to your apparel and golf bag. Performance expectations would be extremely high here. If you’re not in the top 20 world wide, you’re NOT getting one of these deals!

I strictly play casual rounds. If they would create a deeper career mode I would play it but I wonder for how many seasons. I would like to see improved graphics but not at the expense of the course designer. More assets for designers in the course designer. MoCap a couple of male and female golfers so we could choose a different swing. Doesn't have to be pros amateurs would do. I's like more cut scenes and they need to clean up some of the looks you get pre shot and after a shot. Hand position needs work obviously. I like the ideas mentioned so far strictly talking about the overall look of the game. Hopefully they keep 3 click liking the challenge of Legend. I think game play wise the game is in a decent place needs work but I like it.

For years now I've suggested the golf games add more cameras to enhance the immersion...EXAMPLE: A reverse cameras angle when hitting your approach shots to the green, a ground level camera behind the hole when putting. That would be incredible. They need to update the engine at this point and also add things like ocean waves when playing coastal courses. MUCH better weather detail and how about some of that lighting they use in Fortnite...volumetric I believe it's called...that would help with the immersion a TON. How about more themes?? More planting options...please don't touch the putting Please fix the look of the waterfalls!! They look like something from the PS2. Please look at FF 16 or Horizon for waterfall help I'm hoping the designers get a chance to put in their input on things and the fortunate few that have a line of communication with 2K will hopefully make some great suggestions Career: How about the game tracks your career earnings? Allow you to play for multiple seasons and as you get older you start to lose distance and are eventually forced to retire due to age and injury?? The ability to change the courses in career mode would be AMAZING!!!!! Maybe call it "Custom Career." Can you imagine playing a career mode for 20 or thirty seasons with all the different courses we have...Man that would be incredible. I think the game is pretty good. When PGA Tour released I played the heck out of it and put this game on hold. I came back even with the harder difficulty. The putting is SUPERIOR in comparison to EA's game. I think updating to the newer unity engine would be great as far as graphics and textures go.

How about not having to unselect / reselect controller several times to enable game play in XBox? Ridiculous.

- New engine, it's old. Make it current gen only and PC. It's time to drop the PS4 and Xbox One. - New commentator - Career mode focus - Stop making it so that if the ball goes off the fairway 3inches you no longer have a club to get it to the green. Penalized in the rough is too harsh - Have players be different where you can focus on better skills in online matchplay. All players should have a set value of 100 max but if you want to be a better putter or hit the ball further and so on. - Remove the multiple clicks to close the game (it's ridiculous on PC how many buttons to exit the game)
