Yeh that’s quite a lot… I’m surprised you could even move your hands to swing the stick after that! I tried a TST on mushrooms last year and it was easier than yesterday! Take a look at this. I was playing decent despite missing every fairways in the round so far. That ended there. How high you gotta be to think the ball with hit the tree in "front" of me after the drop!? haha! But something great came out of this. I kept playing after the TST and I changed my swing to adapt. And it's working like a charm today. It's an idiot proof swing that I can't miss. It's just like my hands are locked and the only thing that can happen when I swing is a good shot either perfect or in the very low penalty zone of greys. From driving to putting, the same way of holding the controller. No practice needed, I get my swing back on first hole of the day! Ouch! That’s what happens when you play golf too high! I didn’t think the water on the 3rd hole was in play when you’re on the 16th 😂 |

-3, -4 = -7 thru half time. Gnarly challenge of a course this week as I had been reading, certainly didn't disappoint! Not much of a thinking golfer this guy here but wasn't doing nearly half bad. Now sure, I might fall apart at times when I'm not scoring no matter how hard I try and thus I become my own worst enemy because of it, but... I think because of the tougher nature of this week I guess I could keep my head calm and think that par is not too shabby? So considering I'm 36 holes in and I still have not crumbled too much apart from 3 bogey strikes, I'll take it. It's almost insane how much of a nosebleed I'm experiencing this week, when has -7 been that high up at this point of the week? Only one way from here... hopefully that shaky ground underneath my feet hangs on a bit more later on down the road... Putting is certainly all or nothing this week: 55 putts in 2 rounds, 5 of them from mid-range of 6-10 feet. So, either I've got a very short putt or a long one, almost nothing in between. A different challenge this week, but to me, it's a welcome one. Cheers, and good luck surviving out there!  |

I think I finished E par for the week. Gloves came off in round 4. The courses gloves that is, not mine 🤣 although I did take a driver to the eighteenth green. That'll show it  Once again fantastic design Paddy. Just a shame I ended up a victim this week. Looking forward to next. On the game itself, I'm still slightly disappointed but I think I maybe just overdid 21 long after I'd stopped enjoying it and that carried through into 23. Probably a 'me' issue more than the game and I think the recent patch has certainly helped. I'll keep plugging away on Elite and TST until the fun stops but this week I certainly enjoyed both. |

The most I have enjoyed playing TST for years. Last week I gave up on my rounds as I was shanking the ball all over the place. Reason is I can't get on with the DS5 stick for tempo, I even bought a new DS4 and can't get on with that stick also. Went back to my old DS4 and the best tempo I have had on this game was this week's TST rounds 1 and 2. 83% GIR and a hell of a lot of makable birdie putts missed, but these greens are tricky but perfect protection for the short course West Hill GC is. Great set up from Frans and the other admin. 7th on the PC leaderboard and 2 strokes behind paddyjk19 on his Surrey masterpiece. I have said this to him before that I need to play this course as Woking is only about 35 miles from me, I have suggested it to my real life society last year so hopefully next year we might add it to our schedule.  |

Really hope you get to play it IRL, whilst I’ve tried my best to capture this special course, I’ll never truly do it justice. It’s magnificent. At least you’ll know where to leave your ball on the greens, that’s half the battle when you first play it IRL. Kind of seen it with the scores on PC this week, rd1 I didn’t see anything in the 50s as I imagine the top boys had a few 3 jabs or cardinal sins with the approaches, round 2 - normal service resumed! With grids it would have been chewed up from the start but no grids makes it a learning experience. Im just putting the finishing touches to my St Enodoc renovation, that’s another dastardly tricky par 69 that will be with us shortly too. Those greens can go quicker than West Hill but with the wind and firmness, I think it’s a harder test |

Had played like a dog in R2 on Euro, so decided a drink was in order for TST. R1, struggled. A decent par train to start, then a couple of bogeys and bird to finish. +1 for the front 9  Got it back to -2 on the back, then stood on 18 and inexplicably played a cut right into the fairway bunker. Got it out to 20ft or so, but couldn't read the last couple of foot correctly and ended up behind the hole. 68 (-1) Under read a LOT of putts. R2, the wine kicked in, and despite closing with 5 straight pars (couldn't get a thing to drop ) managed a respectable 59 (-10) -11 at the half way mark. Will be sure to get pissed before I finish up. paddyjk19 - What a fantastic RCR. One of the best I've played, and typical of many of may favourite IRL tracks. Superb job. Reminds me a lot of Woodhall Spa (the real track - not the RCR, which is a bit, erm, lumpy). |
