For the record, I still love legend (I'm on PC) and will hope all you legend lovers can find a good society out there to scratch that itch - it just wouldn't work here w/out removing an entire console from being competitive. Totally get it Doyley! You've got an unenviable job being in charge of the settings knowing you can't please everyone. Wish everyone could be on an even playing field across all platforms no matter the swing difficulty but if it's that far off, then you made the only logical choice. |

If I had two cents I'd say CC = Pro and Master the higher ones.
Turn the green grid off for the Platinum gods. 😂

If I had two cents I'd say CC = Pro and Master the higher ones. Turn the green grid off for the Platinum gods. 😂 Well there is a pretty good challenge on TGCTours even on master swing difficulty called TST for those Platinum gods. The tour level above platinum 😉 |

I really hope you’re wrong lol. Just played in a master society and the top guys (all Plat) were shooting 16 to 18 under each round. I’d rather a harder swing that creates more interesting decision making and course management than wild fairways, ice hockey greens and 20 mph winds to artificially create difficulty. But I’m sure you all know that by now, so I’ll stop writing it over and over 😂 I know, but Xbox can't hit perfects on Legend, so it won't happen. I can't even hit perfects on legend on PS4 😂 |

Curious what's your opinion on Legend with Xbox? On the PS4, I'd say this, Master and Legend are pretty close, but the punishment is probably 20 to 30% worse on Legend. So a mishit left on a Legend swing is probably a good 15 yards or 20 yards further left than it would be after a mishit on a Master swing. I probably mishit a shot about 20% to 30% more often than Master too. Does that track with the Xbox difference between the two? I certainly wouldn't advocate for a setting difficulty that puts Xbox players at a stronger disadvantage than another setting. In my head I think Legend reduces the disadvantage because it makes it harder for everyone but if I'm wrong then I accept that. I haven't played a lot on legend but I find it too difficult for me. That could just because I'm not a very good player though. Someone like Craig @craigh1989 is probably better placed to comment as he is a decent Xbox player and he might be able to say whether Legend plays differently to Master in terms of the available polling points etc. I think the increased punishment for a grey fast/slow is fine as long as you can actually hit the grey fasts and slows in the first place. You can certainly hit perfects in Legend on Xbox and limited grey fast/slow points but other than that you are in the black fast or slow zones and that is where the fun stops!
Yeah imo it's the right call to avoid legend because it's just so massively different on Xbox. Especially with the black misses being so punishing now. We're in a weird position where master is probably closer than it's ever been across consoles but legend is much further apart than before. It's a shame because legend would've been a fantastic way to play the tours. |

I do quite like the challenge but I know we'd have absolutely no chance of staying on the Pro tours on those settings. |

You don't have a holdover tour card from last season - that's the reason. You'll be good to go for Qualifying Event this weekend. |

This is only for the test event on platinum society this week - Q-School will work, regardless of your card status from last year, assuming you sign up for it if required. |
