If you're referring to distance control with putting. I don't see how vibration can actually help anyone get better. It becomes the artificial clutch. Anyone can get good at putting distances without a vibration aid, we never had it in any other TGC game so why do we need it now. Surely it is more fun and rewarding hitting a good putt and lagging it close from 50 foot yourself. First thing I did on 2K21 is hit the putting green to learn my putting feel for distance especially as the backstroke was so quick and twitchy before it was patched. Xbox tempo can't be helped but surely we should all be playing the same aids on a given tour. Watch my streams I am hardly great at the game but I think my long range putting and partial pitching is pretty tight. Is it too hard to play partial pitch and putts? Of course not, it just takes a little bit of practice. Very easy to learn muscle memory just as you do for distances in real life. That is why putting represents real golf more than the other mechanics of the game. Hit inside a certain distance in golf and then it becomes all feel for distance and technique.

Not too sure what the issue is with having vibration on. It saves having to take practice swings to hit your intended power. It’s not a crutch, it’s a quality of life benefit. It’s not an aid. Taking a practice swing is equally an aid, just takes a little longer to figure out the length of back swing 😂

If it is not an aid what is it?. Maybe let's just put swing meter back on for the mouse users so it can be quicker for them. I am talking TST here, the sim tour so it is extremely unrealistic as is practice shot feedback.

Taking a practice swing is equally an aid, just takes a little longer to figure out the length of back swing 😂 It's 100% an aid. It tells you when to swing forward, it's helping you. With marker on, you can judge the power you feel you need to make the hole and the vibration tells you when you've reached that to swing forward. Practice swing is not an aid. Without vibration, you are solely in charge of how long your backswing is and when you push forward is down to you. Edit: sorry just to make it clear this is without feedback on. Practice swing with that on, yes I can see it's similar but without the vibration you still need to remember from your practice when to swing forwards. With vibration there's no need to remember.

Yep sorry I had noticed not everyone plays with feedback off so edited my post above haha 🤣

If you ever want to play a few rounds live I know Longpole, myself or any of the guys in Simulation Sanctuary would be more than happy to give you a few pointers. Or if you even want to try it out feel free to join. By no means is everyone there scoring well every week, there's all level of player and we all have a laugh with it. I think maybe the best way to jump to a sim tour is to read a few guides. Maybe we preach sim to everyone but don't do enough to help out new players. I will write up a guide for the new game on TST. I might not be the best but have no problem sharing what works for me in the short game as I will put a lot of practice into that part of the game come October. Could be a good thread to have on TST, if members are willing to give tips and advice.

Putting with no grids is hard and totally understand where you're coming from. I had a friend I used to play rounds with that would see putts totally differently from me. We also had a player on USE that found no grids putting impossible but after a year or so is a very good no grid putter. The thing is the more you play the better you get, it does take commitment. At least you tried it Sanchez, remember with Xbox you have a superb sim community so it is well worth the effort.
