2022 Season
We've officially wrapped up our last season in PGA Tour 2K21. 2K has announced the release date of PGA Tour 2K23 (Oct 11 or 14 depending on version). TGC Tours will be waiting for that game before starting the 2023 season. Once we move to PGA Tour 2K23 we will no longer support/host events on PGA Tour 2K21.
To bridge the gap between the end of the 2022 season and the release of the new game, we will have some exhibition events in the Special Events society. These exhibition events will be open for all TGCT players with a tour card, have no cut, no R1/R2 deadline and participation is optional.
If you recall, 2K/HB adjusted the swing a week into our 2022 season - so for these final few events we're going to go back to Master difficulty to gather some data on how well it is balanced with an eye on returning to it for 2K23.

Qualifying Over for PGA Tour 2K21
Qualifying events are over until the new season starts.
Qualifying for PGA Tour 2K23
Normal TGCT operation after a new game is released is to revoke all tour cards and have a site-wide Qualifying Event to restock all tours. This is the plan for 2K23 - more details of when this event will be will come after 2K23 is released.

TST Admin have the ability to put in events or reach out to me. I'd imagine they'll come up with something.

I hope it works out with master swing and that Beer leagues moves on with the 21/22 Tour settings. Would be a great way forward, especially if Beer can be two-tiered as well.

I sure hope as many folks as possible play these exhibition events. Realizing Master level has not been played by most of the TGCT rank and file, the experience could be ugly at times but the data will help the Admin here make an informed decision about the future of TGCT.
Having only played Master in the NFL Stableford rounds since TGCT changed to Pro, my play at Master has been less than stellar but enjoyable in a closer to par way (over par most of the time but that is the Vandelay Way). But I will give it my best and hope my efforts help with that tough decision coming up for the Admin here.

I sure hope as many folks as possible play these exhibition events. Realizing Master level has not been played by most of the TGCT rank and file, the experience could be ugly at times but the data will help the Admin here make an informed decision about the future of TGCT. Having only played Master in the NFL Stableford rounds since TGCT changed to Pro, my play at Master has been less than stellar but enjoyable in a closer to par way (over par most of the time but that is the Vandelay Way). But I will give it my best and hope my efforts help with that tough decision coming up for the Admin here. Onward! Problem is Art, Master is simply not fun on the Xbox. And this is from someone who resisted the drop to Pro for longer than most. I can't speak for others but I personally have no interest in going back to banging my head against a wall. Really hoping the new game at least partially resolves the problem because in an ideal world I'd much prefer to play the harder settings. It's not even that it has to be the same as PS4/5 (although that would obviously be great!), it just has to be fair on Xbox. Even with the updates it just isn't. |

I am familiar with the XB plight, but giving TGCT the data from that struggle would help them don't you think? Yes it would be painful but what is the adage, no pain no gain? |

They want to collect data. And is this current master swing going to be the same on the new game as well? The more XBox players in the special events will result more for collecting data |

SNAP! Art but to be fair I made a couple of silly mistakes that cost shots that with a bit longer playing Master level would be eradicated. Not played Master since the NFL finished. Even par but I enjoyed this round far more than anything I've played on CC for weeks! Seemed a tough course, thought Doyley might have gone easier on us for the first one. At least for us duffers   |

It says master in the rd settings before starting the first rd. And it felt like the old TGC on masters. +2 for CC-ier. Did better than I thought I would. |
