5. Playing a round on Xbox in the shoes of a 10 handicap golfer trying to compete with the gross score of Tour Pro’s on PS4 & PC.

This morning I was air mailing greens and hitting flubbs with partial pitches. Yikes, hopefully it was just bad server hour but it happened 5 times including a complete duff on a perfect.

Interesting thing happened to me last night. I'm on PS5 and I have been tinkering with my bag over the last few weeks. Having recently been promoted to Platinum (and just as quickly heading back to Elite lol) I needed a little more distance with my irons so I switched my clubs out for a little more distance and a little less forgiveness. I spent a lot of time on the range, and played several rounds and I couldn't find any consistency with the tempo. Thinking I couldn't handle those clubs I dropped back to my old set and all was fine.
To experiment, I went to MORE forgiving clubs than my current set and after the switch I had the same tempo problems with the more forgiving clubs that I did with the less forgiving clubs. Another interesting thing is the clubs I did not change, I had no problem with Tempo, it was only the clubs I changed. Against my better judgement, but too far into the experiments I switched to the less forgiving irons, recalibrated and my tempo got back on track. After recalibrating, I switched to my old set and my tempo issues returned, recalibrated, and it was fine again.
I thought this was interesting and I know almost everyone has changed their bag in some sort of way, but if you have changed to more forgiving clubs and have not recalibrated you may want to give it a shot (at your own discretion lol)

One question; since you always recalibrate with the Driver, how does recalibration take changing other clubs into account?

No matter what club you use right. So do your 10 with driver or 10 with irons and it makes no difference right Or am i not right What day is it , where am i, who am i............wibble :-)

One question; since you always recalibrate with the Driver, how does recalibration take changing other clubs into account? Way above my pay grade ..I just noticed it seemed to work. Of course I wouldn't rule out the placebo effect of me just needing to recalibrate to make myself say I fixed it, but I would say I feel I have a consistent enough tempo that switching clubs wouldn't have too big of an effect on me for the needing to recalibrating to not play a part in something.

Couple of patterns we've noticed over the years: 1. Warmer weather in North America (our largest userbase) drops participation (ie this time of year) 2. Participation drops as game gets older
Plus...
3. Pandemic/loosening of restrictions world wide = more people spending time outside Those are likely factors as well - on top of the swing changes. Usually there's a bounce back so we'll see if the pattern holds true. Totally agree. Well that and a total of 20 Xbox players (through CC-E) even made the cut this week. 8 flights. 2 Xbox players made cut in the three Pro Tours. Congratulations to them both!
