HB Studios has changed how red fasts affect your golf ball. You now lose distance the worse you hit into red tempo making the fast tempo much less desirable and predictable. The end goal is to make perfect tempo the ideal tempo to go for. It's a massive gameplay change that will shake the foundation of many players. Many of you that relied on the red fast will have some adjustments to make. Those that played for perfects will have little to no adjustments.
We will complete the current week as per normal.
This will up the difficulty at the Master level and I expect scoring averages to drop across all tours (on average). TGC Tours is in full support of the change as, to us, it should have been this way out of the gate. Enjoy!!
Will require a restart of PGA 2K21 to take affect if you had the game on when they implemented the server-side update. You'll know it's working for you when your first Very Fast drive only carries 220 yards. 
NOTE: There is no update to download and nothing in-game to notify you of the change - you'll know when you hit a fast that it's working

I was play testing my course today and I hit a red fast. It was an uphill hole and I almost hit a ground ball!

Some of us did red slows for right to left cross breezes already to make the aim easy much like red fasts for left to right. Well, they heard I was playing red fasts for one week and decided enough was enough apparently. Of course last night I accidentally clicked advance into round 3 of my plat rounds with my red fast clubs so this will be an adventure |

Also, thanks Doyley for the info here. That tweet from 2K's official account is less than helpful. A lot of folks - those not on gaming forums frequently - have no idea about what they are referring to in the tweet and are confused as all get out from what's actually changed in the game. |
