Going out on a limb and assuming that 2K doesn't sign Tiger Woods and then wait another 1.5 years to release a new game - so let's just pretend/assume a new game is coming at the start of next season. It might be fun to see what you all want improved or introduced in future versions of the game. Give HB some reading material for their next bathroom break!
So to put a bit of structure to the discussion let's separate it into 2 sections. Anything is on the table - game play, apparel, career mode, societies etc
What features in PGA 2K21 do you want to see improved?
What new features would you add to future versions of PGA 2K21 to improve it?

Off the top of my head,
- I'd like a caddie with me during my rounds, carrying my bag. Not any real input from him, just have him be there. - AI players filling out the courses during solo rounds. - Hickory clubs and balata balls. - More golf-course related objects in the designer (range servants, flagpoles and flags, etc) - Riveted pot bunkers - Being able to spline water and OB in the designer

Career Mode needs attention.
Leaderboards are glitched and change randomly between rounds, after events, etc. Playoffs need to be added to break ties - TW 14 had this, even offering the correct tiebreak scenarios for events (for example, the US Open had an 18-hole round to decide the winner). The cutscenes with the pros either need to be fixed or just removed. I turned them off so fast because they were all just hole outs from off the green time and time again, and made the rounds take a lot longer than they needed to. I'd also like to see, if they do keep pro cutscenes in the game, the actual swings of the pros. All golfers don't have the same exact swing.
I also think sponsorships should be earned. Like, you have to start with only lower tier sponsors available at first. As you progress and earn wins, you unlock newer, higher profile sponsors. For example, say you can only start with Ben Hogan and Tattoo Golf or something. Eventually, you advance to unlocking Wilson and Malbon. The highest level could be like adidas, Titleist, and FootJoy. I think you should only be able to wear gear and use clubs from your sponsor in career mode...seems odd to be sponsored by Under Armour, but are out on course wearing Puma and Polo, or are sponsored by TaylorMade and are using a bag with Wilson woods, Bridgestone irons, Callaway wedges, and an Odyssey putter.
And I think there are licensing issues, but playing a career as a real pro would be fun, too - again, if possible. And getting the licenses of all four majors would just be the bee's knees.

Randomness to the outcome of red fasts and red slows.
Repair the leaderboard in-game (don’t understand this hasn’t been done yet).
Adjustable colours for clothing.
Bouncing pin glitch repaired.
Think this is all stuff that can be improved within the current game.
Something I would love to see in new game:
Caddy book (or what is that thing called that you can open up to see the hole layout) with greens with arrows showing main slopes... like on tv. Would be really helpful for TST.
Being able to use your own photo to create your pixel golfer.

I want to see a career mode where we have to pay expenses. Pay caddy, travel to tournament and hotel expenses. Perhaps even deeper down to Coaching and meals.
For designer I'd like to see more brush texture options. Want a rocky cliff face - just use one of these brushes on a steep area that has already been raised up. Building blocks. Pillars, walls, roofs, doors. Plenty of variants in both size and shape and texture. Proper pot bunkers. More club houses.

feels like we could use a z axis for water and objects imo
they need to change the career mode courses and use some of the ones from this community not just the old ones

Gameplay: - Return of the punch shot - Return of the hole flyovers - Cross platform play - More post-round stats: (PPH, total length of putts, total putts) - Leaderboard for Divot Derby - Improve the drop option after going in water - Ability to play society events with private match - Actual names for regular and major events in career mode - Better replays
Designer: - Ability to fully rotate all objects on x/y/z axis - Ability to slightly tilt water tables to make downhill streams - More clubhouses - Building materials for houses/etc. - More wildelife (TGC1 had better imo) - Splineable OB and water - Ability to paste multiple times after copying something - Ability to place ducks/swans/lily pads on water tables - Slow movement mode for fine adjustments/placements - Multiple types of retaining walls

Decent replay cameras would be great. I'd love for there to be an EA Sports-like Free Camera that properly follows the ball, instead of frantically fidgeting with the D-Pad because the replay for your hole in one is fixed on your golfer and not the ball, meaning you miss everything.
I already upload all 4 of my weekly TGC rounds to YouTube in a "Let's Play" format anyway, but if I had that, I'd love to be able to edit 4 1-round videos, down to a one-video highlights show with a TV-style presentation. The replay camera angles at the minute are so unreliable, it makes that an almost impossible task.

Biggest thing for me, being mainly an online player with TGC Tours and doing other events with people on different platforms, is Cross Platform play. I know there's a lot that goes into this with logistics and politics from Sony/Microsoft and whoever else, but if we could get cross platform play for the next game, it would be a complete GAME CHANGER. It's by far my biggest ask for the next game.
Some other things that would be nice to see included/updated at some point;
MyPlayer -Creating "The Clubhouse" similar to NBA 2K's "Neighborhood" where you could walk around with your character and visit different spots at the clubhouse. (Putting green, driving range, pro shop, locker room, workout area, drive around to each location in golf carts, etc.) -Multiple swing animations options to choose from for our golfer. The same animation for every player gets far too stale and repetitive after a bit. Take a look at MLB The Show's Swing Creator. It's done so well. -Other animations, specifically retrieving the ball from the hole, and maybe celebrations (Tiger fist pump, club twirls, Shooter McGavin, etc.) -Golf Grips, especially more variety in putter grips. -Golf Ball Brands. How is this not a thing, given that Bridgestone, Callaway, TaylorMade, and now Titleist are in the game? Maybe have them slightly impact distance, spin rate, etc.) -Changing golf ball colors. We've seen it can be done in Divot Derby, but at least let us change to orange or neon yellow, like I've seen used on occasion in real play. -At least one additional golf bag to use as a trial bag and experiment with different clubs rather than having to change our main bag back and forth each round.
Career -Majors in career mode should rotate courses over the years. And just more story aspect overall. Maybe do press conferences/interviews before or after rounds, for sponsorship signings, etc.
General -Drop zones. I'm not entirely sure how to properly implement them, but the drop system HAS to be improved upon in the next game. -Make the tee markers a bit wider, and let me pick where I get to tee it up. I should be able to move left or right inside the markers. -Put the proper punch shot back in the game. Clubbing to a 4 iron and de-lofting all the way with a half swing is an OKAY solution for now, but it still doesn't simulate a proper punch shot when trying to recover from trouble. -Speaking of things being removed, the hole-by-hole flyovers were wonderful. If we can't have a free-roam flyover option on consoles like PC players can, the individual flyovers on each hole need to return. -Dynamic weather. If not dynamic, at least add more than one option for rain. I love a good rainbow, but I don't need to see one EVERY time there's rain on a golf course. Just let me pick a cloudy day with light drizzle or something.
Course Creator -Being able to spline water like we can bunkers. Water is such a hassle to make look good, I feel like this would help tremendously. -More clubhouse options. The nine currently in the creator just aren't cutting it. -Being able to alter the length of rough to make it play more easy or difficult, instead of just having generic light and heavy rough. -Grass and object render distance needs to be improved greatly.
I'm sure I'll think of more things at some point, and I'll update this post if and when I do.

With EA taking HB Studios over, not sure of Unity will still be the base for future games, possibly they move the game back over to the Frostbite engine, which I guess HBS would have to learn.
Current game
Splash shot from sand only and only using wedges (from fairways/rough use Flop) Fairway bunker shots having some element of fat/thin possibility Pitch shots available with wedges only Penalty drops from water need revisiting, as some are really bad.
New game - as above and.......
Dynamic weather, chances of rain during round etc. Better looking bunker lips Addition of pot bunkers, especially for links style courses 3D objects restricting backswing, so if up against a tree, backswing is restricted Green reading tool like the old Break Line Indicator (BLI) in Links 2003 on PC, so game more playable when playing with green grids Allowing player to move ball position on the tee between the markers and 2 club lengths back (as per real life rule)

Designer: Not sure how many people use the drafting program Revit, but the designer should have a way to tab objects to select the correct one when there’s multiple in an area similar to how that program does it.
Copy and Paste items stay in their vertical formation as wel as horizontal in relation to the ground plane. (I hope that makes sense)
Water bodies of different shapes or the ability to round corners. Z axis for Waterbodies.
Ability to grab measurements in an area to delete
Pro Mode: more use for money other then just clothes and clubs.
Better calendar view to see where Majors are.
More variability with CPU players (despite a hard course on very high winds someone still will score -8)
Some match play events
Overall for the game: CROSS PLATFORM PLAY!!!
Ability on all platforms to search for designers courses

Cross Platform play is way top of my list. In fact it's the top 3 items!
And a proper punch shot.
Silly thing. Change colours of clothing at least on 2K/HB clothing.

Refine the swing some more. I do think they are on the right track with the tempo and swing plane but it needs more work on the higher difficulties. In no particular order but numbered for reference: 1. Shot Shaper - I think they need to decide if this is going to be the tool for power draws/fades or not. If so, great and get rid of tempo. If not, dump it and let the gray areas left/right of the the white line be the timing sweet spot for draws/fades. It’s ok if they need to make those areas a bit larger. 2. The punishment for a bad ball strike should hurt. Missing the gray or white sections should constitute a bad ball strike. The more it’s missed, the more it should hurt. And it should hurt really bad on the higher difficulty settings. The punishment could be any number of things from topper that sends a ground ball through the tee boxes to a shaft rattling chunk. In any instance, the distance should be nerfed significantly enough so that even jacking up 3 or 4 clubs on an approach shot still does not reach the target. 3. Pitch shots are just weird. 4. Chip shots are too easy. Loft and deloft should be removed from this shot. Players should adapt to using partial swings. 5. Get rid of the Splash shot and retool the Flop to fit accordingly. See partial swing above. 6. 96% Swing. In no golf game universe should I be able to guarantee a 96% power shot 100% of the time when I decide to dial one up. 7. Official events - each difficulty level should have one instead of forcing everyone to play Pro only. 8. Multiplayer Lobbies (including a Ladder Lobby) - Different lobbies and ladders for each difficulty starting at Pro and up to Legend. 9. Smartphone App - One that can provide stats and info, ability to change clubs in the bag. 10. Multiple Bags - I’ve been asking for this feature for years. Allow us to save more than one golf bag loadout. Let us name each save and then prompt us at the beginning of each round for which bag we want to use. There. I have more but I think that’s enough from me

Improved, more realistic crowd noise - I like playing the one hole at Scottsdale because of the crowd. It’s definitely an area that needs a huge upgrade.
Being able to play as the pros like in the old Tiger games (wouldn’t want this in societies, but maybe against friends and in career mode)
The game face thing or whatever it’s called where you can upload your picture
Better servers - tempo can randomly change, it has to be something on their end that effects it. Shouldn’t happen.
New/better announcers
Make chipping more difficult. I think this is a bigger issue than the splash shot honestly.
