Lobby for one
How bout real live tourneys with tee times and 18 groups on the course (I realize this is far fetched but what the heck).
A real master difficulty. The one in 2k21 game turned into arcade for top scorers.

Better rough physics. Flyers instead of an inability to hit real distances out of the rough. 6 iron from 140? What is that?
I hate how I get no spin on any shots out of the fairway. My irons always release far when they land.
Course Creator (Important in bold):
Better retaining wall system.
Terrain that doesn't tear on a sharp slope. Also, the option for a rocky-looking surface that can be put on the sides of cliffs/mountains.
Ability to edit a certain amount of space outside the playable square so we can make custom backdrops.
More SHEDS!!!
Clubhouses
1 new theme at the least
No auto-flattened surfaces
Ability to see a longer fescue grass from further away. Also ability to make fescue grass without having to individually plant giant things of grass just to get it to look good.
I want to be able to choose my auto-gen trees.

Some good ideas so far, here is what I thought of
In terms of play
- Better dropping mechanics and drop zones. Same with unplayable lie. - Being able to set up tournaments with a different tee box for one hole - Short games shots shot not be as spinnable as they are. Physics of the splash shot and also some of the other shots need to be dialed in. - Something between grid and no grid. Not sure what it would be, like a grid with wider boxes, or contrast highlighting that appears for a couple seconds and fades away. - Strokes gained for any society event. It should be easy enough to give each player strokes gained / lost driving, approach, around the green, and putting relative to the field in any event and track over a society season. - Ditch the weird slowdown of the swing especially on pitching, and also any controller vibration on master or legend - Make it more challenging to hit chips on line, chip ins are way too easy - Definitely like the idea for thin / fat misses in addition the current misses. This could fix a lot on issues like splash from the fairway if you could risk a skull
In the designer
- More options with regard to rough, than light rough and high rough. Allow the designer to select a depth all the way up to like 2 feet fescue giving you a 5% lie with a long iron. Speaking of that, allow different grass types with different characteristics rather than just color differences. e.g bermuda, fescue, kikuya, pao, bent - For water definitely a concept of a source and gravity and the water just flows downhill. - Please put all the trees into sub menus so I don't have to wait for my PS4 to load 5 tabs of bush to get to a cedar. - Option to upversion a course you have uploaded so betas and fixes can be made without creating duplicates. - Option to spline retaining walls, fence, bridge - fewer but better sculpting brushes

A lot of great ideas so far. Here’s a few of my thoughts mostly about the practice area for now.
Practice Area - Include multiple practice facilities (driving range and practice green) in different environments
Driving Range - Add greens/flags/bunkers/chipping baskets to ranges for targets - - - all these items could even be randomly placed (within reason) each time you enter the range to add even more variety to the range - - - allow the player to set green firmness and speed at the range - - - allow the player to select a driving range target and provide shot results feedback (distance from target). Could also hit multiple shots and give a spray chart with result statistics (avg, min, max to target). - Allow the player to set the wind speed and direction at the range - Provide some swing analytics. Things like backswing times/accuracy and forward swing times/accuracy over a number of shots.
Practice Green - Set a range of starting putts (too many times it starts with a really long putt >100 ft, would be better to select a range for the length of starting putts, e.g. 10-20 ft, 40-50 ft, etc...) - Add putting drills (e.g. clock drill, 1-2-3 drill, etc...)
Chipping - Allow the player to set green speed and firmness - Make some of the chips/pitches default from fairway
Add a new mode - “Up and Down” - something golfers often do in real life - Start off the green, chip to a target hole, then putt - Trying to scramble to get up and down - Helps to play “under pressure” (I know it’s a video game) - Helps to plan the chip for the “right leave” on the putt for par
And the all important... Fix the Red Fast (apply the same process to slows) - Add randomness - Increased variance the further away from perfect you hit

Ability to scale all items! It would massively increase creativity in my opinion.
Also I’m not sure if I’m just bad, but I find swing tempo incredibly inconsistent and when it comes to pitch shots, nearly impossible.

Multiple Bags. Like 10 of them.
Leaderboards Per Swing Difficulty. See below.
Handicap Per Swing Difficulty. See Below.
TW World Tour style Match Play, give those licensed golfers something to do in game other than be ignored, pulls a handful of scores from the leaderboards of the diffculty chosen based on the handicap of the golfer and gives each hole randomly gives the CPU golfer a hole output, yes some matches might get RNG as hell but given that we already have the ghost players, might be a good way to expand on how to make the licensed golfers work and fix playoffs.
Use all the above for the PGA Tour and also give us back the Solo Society.
Announcers needs chirp us like Feherty and McCord used to when we blast off terrible shots, actually just hire Feherty and McCord and give the scripts more attention to all the bad shots we're going to make so we have reasons to keep them turned on, we only need a dozen or two varations of a good shot while I will never tire of being mocked by a video game for a poor shot because thats whats been missing from the announcers, its a video game please rip on us and John, we'll enjoy it, otherwise we'll just ignore them for another year. Which would be a pity.
Look at TW 04/05 and all the celebration animations that could be added to good/bad shots putts and use that as a blueprint give us the options we're going to use them, or turn them off but at least give us the damn options. Same goes with equipment, give us legacy equipment like old putters that aren't in the current lineup, a couple months ago before they announced the return of the OG 2-Ball that was #1 on my list but that will eventually come I assume but #2 and sticking with the same company and adding the fact that we just had the 25th anniversary of Happy Gilmore, I know Odyssey made 1000 of those Gilmore putters and while I am a everyday user of the hockey stick they added I feel it was the perfect time to add the club into a video game and expanding on that I think somebody said hickory clubs earlier and I think thats a fantastic idea that would give use for some of the forward tees on any course and still have them present a challenge to expand it further clubs from the 70/80/90s/etc like the Ping Eye2 irons and allow societies to set eras to club selection, if Hickory clubs added I'm almost certain that there would be a TGC Hickory League to go along with TST and Beer and probably a TST Hickory because of course, beyond that it would open up challenges for content creators and community events.
Ship the game with whatever amount of licensed courses along with triple that of community courses from the previous game especially from the National Treasure pool of courses as that can be used in the World Tour I mentioned previously.
And last but surely not least for all things that are sacred never ever add EA Tiger Woods style stats to the MyPlayer, that will just ruin everything. Always make the stats be the clubs in your bag. The Golf is just about perfect don't ruin a good thing. Nothing further than tweaking the mechanics.
EDIT: Oh and I almost forgot, equal length irons. Let us be crazy like Bryson if we want to.

Improved, more realistic crowd noise - I like playing the one hole at Scottsdale because of the crowd. It’s definitely an area that needs a huge upgrade. That one dude that shouts "Get in there!" at every putt, despite it obviously drifting 6ft wide on a bad break and rolling all the way off the green. Please, let me toss him into a creek somewhere.

Wish: A green contour reading system that's less distracting than the neon eyesore grid. Something in between TST style and the neon headache. A fade grid? Thinner lines? No beads? A heat map? Not sure the specs, but it's 2021 and green reading systems in sim golf haven't improved since 1994. Please!
Greater dispersion and variance in distance and accuracy for off-tempo mishits on Master and Legend difficulty. AKA, fix the Red Fast! True competition depends on it. It's golf, bad shots are going to happen. Shanks shouldn't have predictable outcomes.
Bring back the previous version putting system. 2019 was really solid. The 2k21 putting system has driven too many to quit. It's too random-feeling and artificially assisted. Fix it.

Since nothing is off the table ...
I’d ask HB/2k to invest in a programmer who’s sole responsibility it is to implement The Move on PS4
Then I’d buy this game for the first time since TGC1
I really want to get into it but I just can’t enjoy thumbstick golf in the same way as I do playing TW 13 & TW14 with my move & simstick

Move or the DualShock controller could work. Ability to walk or cart the course as well. But even if it was like Everybody’s Golf VR, it would be fun. It would be a game changer for TST for putting. You could literally walk around the putt. Could also have the option to turn the default screen to a “3D mode” to play like we do now but in 3D with the PSVR headset.

Would I would like to see fixed or improved on. Most things on my mind have already been posted so I will not repost them. Except maybe a couple or so.
Drop zones. (added) Punch shots (added)
Leader board (fix). Playing a round then checking the leaderboard to have to scroll/dig to find myself after going through all the -25's and weird scores. Assuming they come from match play rounds or something. Let us sort the leaderboard according to what mode we played. If we play a regular 18 hole round, let me see how the others who played the 18 holes did.
Most important to me (added/fixed) PARITY BETWEEN ALL PLATFORMS. Game plays the same no matter what platform you play on.
I can get on board with random outcomes for red fasts. Not a fan of randomness for properly hit shots though.
(fixed improved upon) Admin control on societies improved on. Ability to edit or remove posts. Ability to delete an event if you made a mistake in setting it up. Give an hour grace period where the admin can go play a hole or two to make sure he set it up right, or picked the right course even. If not, let them delete it.
(added) Ingame lobby for matchmaking where I can select a group who play on the same settings as I do and choose to have a round or more with them. I play on TGCT settings. After divot derby was released I thought I would go try an online match. Have never done this in all my years of playing. When I saw it was all pro clubs I backed out. Not to be a snob, but I am accustomed to master clubs, prefer them and that's how I want to play.
(fix/improve) Spend some time on the tempo aspect. I would like to see the tempo be consistent between all platforms. If it has to be frame rate dependent. Than optimize frame rates. Or server upgrade and or weekly maintenance. For example after the last update I found my tempo to be more controllable. As time went on and server gets busy, filled with junk my tempo has gotten terrible again. Weekends are worse when it seems like more people are playing. It seems like as time goes on, crap files or whatever bogs down the server. I used to have my own dedicated server when I had my own site/forum years ago. I would have to go do the equivalent of defragging and cleaning out the junk on a regular basis. My forum would run so much better after it was done. Hire a server admin to maintain your server on a regular basis.
Outside the scope of the thread and more of a random nattering below Not meant to be a lambasting of the dev team or anyone on it.
Communication from the dev team. (new/added) I play (not lately) a lot of Destiny 2. Every week they have a TWAB (This Week at Bungie) where they discuss what they are working on, issues that they are working on, issues that players have brought to their attention, what they have planned. They also perform weekly updates to fix even the smallest bugs. I wouldn't expect weekly updates but something, anything would be welcome. Show us you care about the game, the players and fans who support the game. These last few years have been disgraceful. Just looking at the HB forum one has to wonder who is in charge and if anyone even cares. Stickied threads from 3-4 years ago still cluttering up the forum. From an outsider looking in, it appears that the love for the product they create is gone, that it's just a tedious job they have to do. Hopefully with the new acquisition they have a new vigor and have a renewed sense of drive and love for the product that so many of us love and have supported for years now.
I could go on but it would just be repeating what has already been posted, or has slipped my mind. I'm aging and my brain is not working as it used to. lol

Fix the swing/tempo issues cross platforms. Every console should play the same.
Bring back hole fly-over preview
Bring back the old punch shot
Bring back the old replay
Bring back the old putting - video game putting shouldn't be harder than IRL
Fix the drops
Fix the leaderboard issues
Fix the shot defaulting to pitch when around 100 from green
Harsher penalties for red fast/slows. Fix the exploit(s)
Splash shots should be for wedges only and should be a high risk shot
Chips and pitches need some work.
Fix the caddie book not showing the entire hole/green
ADD a BREAK LINE INDICATOR - middle ground between grids and gridless
Ability to play as or with a pro
Have Take Two Interactive bring back Links Golf.

On the designer side:
Ability to create penalty areas, rather than having to make non-water areas OB, as well as ability to designate penalty areas as yellow or red, allowing for the two club lengths from last crossing margin drop. And add drop zones.
Ability to make ponds and creeks the same way one makes bunkers.
10000000 more options for waterfalls, obviously.
On the game side:
Something to deter red fasts (I say this as someone who red fasts drives) - more penal very fasts and more equal penalties for slows and fasts. Basically make incentives to hit perfects. Also red misses are accentuated as you move up the bag.
Splash shots from rough and sand only, and limited ability to spin ball from rough. Also something to make chipping more difficult - chips are made way too often.
Something with putting and wind to take bead counting and wind math out of the equation. Make it more of an estimate and feel thing.
It's a tough job 2K has. We want this game to be more realistic, but we're not the majority of the player base. The majority of the player base still struggles on Pro difficulty and if 2K makes the game too hard, they'll lose the casual player and they're not about to do that.
