Are you sure? This is not ea, if tgct ceased to exist I bet hb golf games would go right down the tubes Not much would change if TGCTours were gone. Someone would make a new online tour, even if not nearly as in-depth, or people would just stick to certain societies. I don't think so. TGCT has access to the API which AFAIK nobody else does. That alone makes this place not only unique, but helps ensure people aren't cheating. Can you say that about any other society?

I'm surprised people aren't more upset about this change. Seems the rage has been the red fast.
With this change in putting, scores will go even lower and back to TGC2/2019 levels. It's completely taken out the skill in putting that was initially present when 21 first released.

Mitch, agree. Fells like the amount of time I spent on getting my skills back to a medium level has been wasted. It was hard - and it was meant to be......

Interesting all the people posting videos online have not even mentioned a change early1981. Respawn and all the rest. Not a word with videos that have been made in tha last 24 hours

Still haven’t figured it out.

I think whether or not you notice this depends on your putting method.
I pull the stick all the way down when I putt. (I think I'm in the minority on this one)
It feels like someone is pulling from the opposite direction unless I move the marker out.

I really haven't noticed a difference
I always moved the aim to the distance I wanted to hit it at, and then used the rumble to tell me the power. Seems to work in exactly the same way as it did before for me.

Same here - I LITERALLY see no difference 50 foot putts go where they should, 8 foot putts do the same. I never move anything and don't rumble. All feel. I look at the putter and hit the ball. Seems the same - if I had not seen posts I would not think anything of it.

Pre Patch my 40% Avatar Position in 2K21 was hitting the ball to 25F. Post patch that 40% Avatar Position is now hitting the ball to 10F, or 29%. As my video has already shown though, you no longer need anything other than 1 Avatar position now.
I've always absolutely loved all of TGC Series, however, this putting change is an unprecedented disaster in my eyes. Talk about removing the skill from the putter. It's shocking.

I watched the video multiple times and don’t know that I ever understood what you were doing. Are you saying that you can bring the putter back to the same spot for each putt and just change the intent to make it go different lengths? And if you chart out what the differences are for different green speeds you can just always hit the same “putting stroke”? I also have no idea what avatar position means.

I moved the marker to the desired distance and barely pulled back so it would very slowly swing until it got to the swing position I wanted (which I knew via practice swings). Still works the same way.

Still works the same way. I never putted that way, I always pushed down and up both relatively quickly. Now I have to push down....wait...wait...push up. Just for like a 10 foot putt. It’s wildly different now.

And if you chart out what the differences are for different green speeds you can just always hit the same “putting stroke”? I also have no idea what avatar position means. Avatar positions are simply different animations of your golfer at different points of the swing. I use putter shafts, shirts, shoulder blades, space between the elbow, etc. Yes, bringing the putter back to the same spot for each putt and change intent. I use my 29% 10F Avatar position which goes covers 25% out to 45%, but I also use a 47% Avatar position which can do in the mid 30% up to 60% plus, or the 75F putt barrier, after which we can splash/pitch.
Those using rumble don't seem to be effected, however, I've been a stout proponent of staying away from rumble because it has an adverse affect on full swing tempo. I can get FAST or SLOW with over 90% accuracy and some portion of that is attributed to playing "wireless!" and not using rumble. Rumble bad lol!!

Feel like there is so much less feel with this update, hate it.
