You have more control over your style now. If you like the same putting pace just pick your favorite intent distance for all putts and the head speed will be constant. If you prefer putting timing then use the variable intent and head speed will vary. If you liked the stroke really fast push intent out all the way. They should remove the distance off the marker and replace with % speed. Certainly a glass half full way of thinking about it. I should be more like that. Yet I’d just get annoyed that I’d have to change my intent so much on every putt. |

I've been putting everything from two feet distance, I mean c'mon. This new method loses all immersion on the greens imo |

A lot of players will tell you they've never moved the marker in or out playing these games until now. I'm one of them. Not like you can't adapt to it, just something you have to put into your pre-putt routine that never had to be there in the past |

Need to remember that TGCTours is not affiliated at all with HB/2K - sure they have some contact as they are able to use the API's for the score pulls - but anything that changes game-wise is all on the developers HB and/or 2K (more HB) Further - although TGCTours is a nice chunk of players - it is a drop in the bucket to the entirety of the people who've actually bought and play the game. Absolutely. Majority don't even know these tours exist....which is a shame for them. Are you sure? This is not ea, if tgct ceased to exist I bet hb golf games would go right down the tubes |

I agree they would take a hit and I feel HB owe quite a bit thanks to the admin here. Which I'm sure they do.
But even though there's thousands signed up for this site I think HB may be in deep crap if this was it.
I know this game ain't topping no games charts but they will have sold a lot more copies.

How do they change one of the most important parts of the game and not make a announcement about it? Who does that. They have horrible PR.
I will adapt but I thought it was fine the way it was after some time it just took some serious getting used to and no putt was taken for granted.

I just finished Rd 3 Mallory National (Beer League). Yes, the putting is different, but not a total game changer...annoying for now, but adaptable. It appears to be more "sensitive" with breaking putts...need to add more break compared to the last tempo. Of course this is my personal observation so one can take it for what it's worth.

Fascinating. I just got back from vacation and have been reading. I have time for one game but take up where I left off in a round. I really saw no difference. HOWEVER. it was a saved game.

I was going in a slightly different direction than above with my original post - Sean has taken it that you can use one length of swing for different distances, while I was thinking more in terms of everyone being able to set their own preferred putting TEMPO by altering the marker - if you like a slow tempo, you pull the marker towards you, whereas if you like the fast (original 2k21) tempo, then you push the marker much further away........ It's still your fault lol 
I was just responding to your request and once I did distance control testing from 2019 I came across it. Distance control in 2019 was in the +/- 3 to 4F range for most putts, yet in 2K21 it's a -3F to +25F, or 25% to 45%! So for all those people that were complaining that putting was too hard, or that it was broken, well, I hope you're all very happy now lol! You definitely got what you asked for, and then a whole lot more. It can't get any easier and mindless than the current paradigm.
I'm one of people who have been complaining about putting but not that its to hard, I have zero problem with the speed of the putting new or old (I like the old speed better) my problem has always been as shown in my video HERE that putting with a slow tempo creates an issue / glitch / hitch whatever you want to call it that made it almost impossible to putt because half of the time you'd end up shorting your putt, even thou you pulled back the correct distance on the stick, The underlying issue has not been fixed but a band-aid put in place where you can no longer short the putt, because if you putt at a slow/very slow tempo the game will simply will not register your forward stroke even thou you have pushed forward on the stick, this has only started to happen since the server side adjustment was made. |

Someone would make a new online tour, even if not nearly as in-depth, or people would just stick to certain societies. Now, if the designer were to be gone.... then the game would be DOA. |
