Red swings either side don't seem to miss as severely as they did before. The wind also seems to bring them back a bit more if it's blowing the opposite direction to the miss as well.

Scores are returning to previous seasons' levels. *sigh* I don’t care about extremely low scores, as long as they stay in the highest tours. What I do not want to see are those scores appearing in the low level tours. Last season I saw an issue of very low scores dominating the low level tours.

Scores are returning to previous seasons' levels. *sigh* That's what I said would happen earlier. It's not out of the question to shoot -20 in this version (Evangelist comes to mind). Even -15 under and better in Very Heavy Winds is doable.
- Hit Drives longer!? Oh yeah! - Shorter approaches!? Check! - Hole out chips 75% of the time!? Too easy.
- Most simplistic short game we've ever had!? With chips, splashes, and dial in pitches.....Roger Roger!
- Newly dumbed down putting!? Don't even get me started o_^
So don't fret, the scores will only get lower

Scores are returning to previous seasons' levels. *sigh* Was foolish to ever think otherwise. It's a video game. Always has been.

With the original putter in 2k21, I was struggling mightily with tempo-3 and 4 putting and averaging 1.65 putts/hole with the putter tempo update (feels the same to me as '19), I'm back down to 1.35 putts/hole. that's 5 shots per round improvement- just from a tempo update.
I'll take it, BUT I'd expect that we're going to see even more crazy scoring than we saw at the end of '19.

This is fascinating and now explains why I started seeing my name on the first page again this past week. Either way, this is a welcome change as the original 2k21 putting was broken in my opinion. I prefer to play sans vibration since it speeds the rounds up, and now I can just rely on my 2019 feel on the greens.

I’m just glad the phantom did not hit my console at all it seems. Been going on feel and feel has not changed It’s probably how you putt. Otherwise, it may require a reboot. So don’t ever have a power outage okay? Cant get a new console either.

Not one of the people I follow on Youtube have mentioned there has been a changed. That is the odd thing. Respawn who is one of the top golfers in this game (top 5? I believe) said the only way he heard of this was from people asking him. He said he has noticed zero difference and does everything exactly the same as before with the same results.
He does everything mathematically and the vibration crutch and it is frustrating as it takes SO LONG. Don't know what to say. The very good golfers see nothing changed. I go by feel and I have seen no change but I was PRO up to last week.
Don't know what to say.

Interesting all the people posting videos online have not even mentioned a change early1981. Respawn and all the rest. Not a word with videos that have been made in tha last 24 hours Been off the forums for a while so catching up on all the new threads and thoughts on things. I haven't really noticed a difference in the swing. I pull the stick back slowly and that seems unchanged or maybe sped up very slightly? I did notice that max speed you can pull it back has been maybe slowed some but I don't use this method so I can't speak on it as to how much they slowed it. If there was a change in the tempo of every other swing, I haven't noticed it either and if I did my brain adjusted to it on the first swing as my tempo is still spot on most of the time with what I am looking for. So a video from me wouldn't make sense as I am still playing the exact same I was, haven't noticed a change except max speed slowed which I covered 30 seconds talking on Twitch, and everyone in here seems to have somewhat a grasp on what the changes were. Also, I haven't been given any information about the change so I am in the dark as well. I speculated that HB must be testing out server side patches to give updates and not have to wait for the approval process from platforms which can sometimes take weeks. I look at this as a positive as it allows for updates to come without having to wait. I understand some people are frustrated but that always comes with the territory with game updates. I look at this game like every other sports game. They take feedback from the community and make changes where wanted. I would say from all my YouTube comments and Twitch streams the biggest complaint was the speed of the putting. People thought it was too twitchy and hard to control and they wanted something similar to 2019 back (for whatever reason. Putting was my least favorite in 2019). Maybe this has found a middle ground? I still think the putter is faster than 2019 when pulling back all the way so still better in those regards. I don't know how this will effect scores on the tours either. On one hand I can see maybe it lowering scores some as the putting has in some way been made easier, I guess, but I haven't been holing more putts out. Everything for me has stayed the same and the scores are exactly what I was expecting to see this week. It could take some time for people to get used to it so maybe we see lower scores then, but for me and from what I have seen so far, nothing has changed for the most part. In the end though, what do I know But only for a select few it seems who swing a certain way. I wish we could get a consensus now how people swing that have seen this phantom change.
