Last one in. About to publish my fun tropical course I've been working on the past few months this weekend- look for The Legend at Kong Island. Then I'll be 100% focused on my contest course.

I am so sorry guys, but I am going to have to sadly back out. I have tried 3 times to design the 1st 2 holes but everytime I tried to save the progress, my Xbox would not corporate. I figure give up my position now so an alternate would have ample time to design a high quality product. I am so sorry Reeb and all involved. Good luck!

Quick question about the "no bunkers" requirement. This is for sand bunkers only yes? I could still use grass bunkers or something similar right? I'm starting to plan out a golf course and trying to decide on which (if not all) requirements I use.

correct. Bunker texture bunkers. Beach = fine, Grass depressions = fine. I want to stress to all...these requirements are meant to be specific yet at the same time open to interpretation. If you feel you are meeting them...then go for it and explain it.  Up to you how well you pull it off. |

reebdoog I must have totally missed this but I can't find how the scoring/match ups work for this contest. Is this like the Major contest and its just a straight up all v all field or is there a head to head component? I can't see to find how this contest works / flows.

Darn some of those links are not working ;( As the publishing window approaches I just wanted to congratulate and thank everyone for their hard work and providing us with many hours of cheap entertainment. As someone who has designed in the past, I know making a course is no small endeavor and that all of the intricacies that make your course what it is require many hours of sometimes frustrating, and sometimes redundant work. Often with little tangible reward. I also know that one of the greatest pleasures for a designer is to see other people play your course, how they handle the nefarious designs....do they take the aggressive line? That is why I'd like announce my intention yet again to stream all of the entrants to this competition. I pretty much always do this anyway, but this time I want to try to be more organized and get the designers in there. What I want to do is 1 course per night at about 9:30 pm eastern. A couple of days a week I could pull off 2 in one night. I know we're all over the world here So if the time is really bad, you could go in a monday/Tuesday slot when I'm off work and we can change the time. So, of you're interested in this little project, drop me a line when you publish with your preferred day. And If you're a day 1 publish, go ahead and take that July 1 spot! Thanks again gentlemen |

Awesome news ohheycat and thanks for the plays (in advance). I'm on UK time so 9.30pm EST = 1.30am here. If you can do any earlier or I could book in for one of the Monday/Tuesday slots, that'd be great - would love to see how someone else plays my course. It'll be a huge amount of fun to watch all the others as well - really excited to see all the good courses that are coming out of this competition. |
