This is very interesting for sure. I see someone is already doing Pasatiempo...looks like we may have two. Care to clarify? You already had a WIP, or you used the tool to import my OSM mapping and are refining that in game? I'm sorry bud. Yeah, I said years ago that if I ever did an RCR that it would be Pasatiempo as I really have no interest in doing any other (real) golf courses. Please don't let that keep you from finishing the course, it is beautiful. And no worries, I will keep my version unpublished for use on our simulators. Carry on.

Doyley, any chance you can put these blank canvases you are making in a thread where people can see what tracks are available and claim them so we will know who is working on what? maybe a google sheet? Should note this is now done - can find it stickied in both the WIP and Completed LiDAR course sections

3 courses I ABSOLUTELY would love to be added to TGC2019 Fairwood Golf and Country Club - Renton, Washington www.fairwood.org/www.google.com/maps/place/Fairwood+Golf+%26+Country+Club/@47.4496987,-122.1551091,16.75z/data=!4m5!3m4!1s0x5490677764776fc3:0xb2f9774a50db56f7!8m2!3d47.4496997!4d-122.1521903 MapleWood Golf Course - Renton, Washington www.google.com/maps/place/Maplewood+Golf+Course/@47.4723301,-122.1605892,15z/data=!4m5!3m4!1s0x0:0x616a23189e980cdb!8m2!3d47.4723301!4d-122.1605892 The Golf Club at Eagle Mountain - Fountain Hills, Arizona www.google.com/maps/place/Eagle+Mountain+Golf+Club/@33.5756429,-111.7613578,1854m/data=!3m1!1e3!4m5!3m4!1s0x872ba202c83e53b3:0xf75f60cf31ec3a2!8m2!3d33.5765693!4d-111.759143 (Have to copy the entire thing and paste it, didn't link right) If anyone can make this happen I will be forever grateful!! The first 2 are courses I grew up playing and still play today when I go home and visit. And the 3rd course is where I worked and played for 5 years when I first moved to AZ.

Cal Club of San Francisco Unfortunately this one will take a little more work than average. The OSM data is off ever so slightly, maybe by 2-3 yards, and will need to be adjusted. The MacKenzie bunkers also get lost in translation, and likely need to be remade or heavily modified to get an accurate look. With that said, still another awesome looking course!

Cal Club of San Francisco The OSM data is off ever so slightly, maybe by 2-3 yards, and will need to be adjusted. You can manually shift the OSM portion with Chad's tools. When I did Sand Hills GC it was off by 70+ yards but was able to shift the OSM, export course file, open in designer and check...rinse repeat until it lined up as best I could get it - it's not a terribly long process especially if you're just moving a few yards.

First pics of the Donald Ross Course in French Lick, IN. Many thanks to gheebuttersnaps and the great chadgolf for getting me to this point. I still have some obstacles to overcome, but I'm on my way finally! [img src="https://i.imgur.com/xD1Ovh8.png" src=" " alt=" "]

Friars Head has been imported. Took some work to get things lined up but it looks pretty good. Now comes planting all those dunes.

Some untouched pics from TPC Jasna Polana. The bunkers imported particularly well, the data quality for this course was very good.
Hole 3 approach: reachable par 5 Hole 9 tee shot Hole 9 view from landing area Hole 18 approach: reachable par 5

Whoa. So that is what that does! Thanks Scott. I wonder what the background scale does?

Whoa. So that is what that does! Thanks Scott. I wonder what the background scale does? Background scale is all the red you mask and is found on the Import Terrain and Features tab - it's defaulted to 16. So basically all the mask is much less detailed but still good enough to get the generic lay of the land. The more you bring that closer to 2.0, the more it turns out, detail wise, to your main course layout. I did the full Alotian plot at 1 with no mask lol...it'd take the XB1 guys a couple hours to load probably. My rocket ship computer still takes a 90 seconds or so.

So when it is set to 1, the tee boxes come out THAT close to however flat they are IRL without touching them up? Do only integers work, or is it possible to fool around with, say, something in the 1.5-1.8 range for slightly better detail? Doyley the way you specified 2.0 makes me think that perhaps it might.
