NOW PUBLISHED!!!
My first golf course in over two years and my first ever attempt at links golf. Welcome to Rugen Island, Germany. There are two versions of this course and both are technically tournament setups. The first is Rugen Island Oktoberfest and it is laid out as I originally intended the course to play. The default settings here are firm with slightly below medium (139) green speeds that play to their full glory in size. This version has three tee sets and is littered with beer gardens and modest crowds throughout. This is the course that you should start with, in my opinion. The second version is Rugen Island Tournament and it is meant for tour play with greens at the fastest settings (183 default) and narrowed choke points on select fairways. To get these greens to play fairly with tour speeds several of them were mowed, well...uhm...differently. This one also comes with different pin locations, much larger crowds, grandstands and camera towers for a full 'tour' effect. Hope you all enjoy your rounds and please stop by the clubhouse for a White Russian afterwards. Good or bad, feedback is encouraged as always. Cheers.

Yes!! My favorite movie of all time. I'm sure the course will be great, but I already love the hole names.

The DaFino scene is one of my favorites of the movie and is the source of the hole names for ‘Irish Monk' (hole #12) and 'Special Lady’ (hole #3).

Big thank you to whomever used the Oktoberfest version for their tournament/society. The course now has an official slope rating (64.9/34) with almost 600 plays. Cheers!

I like that idea. I also like the idea of having the13th hole of any course being tough in general. In fact the lucky 13th here is a long uphill par 4 with a nasty four-tiered green.

Just a little FYI for any of you interested in transferring any of your 2K21 designed courses onto the 2019 version (last version to play via a simulator) they ARE backwards compatible to an extent. It seems that all of the textures and elevations will transfer back however you will lose any planted objects regardless of whether they were available in the 2019 version or not. Hope this helps as I was really sweating the thought of not playing this course on a simulator some day. Cheers.
