I want to congratulate the top 10 designers in the contest. You guys are really great to look up to and I am so glad to experience these guys kick my arse. The courses are all beautiful and they deserve a pat on the back. And to all the guys that are cut from the contest, I want to say that not one course in this contest was a bad one (maybe Empire Pines) and really were great courses. The atmosphere that was present during the contest was so cool and I really enjoyed it. Good luck to the top 10!

Only 8 spots left! Here's hoping McCory and keep it's head above water a little bit more!

For those keeping track at home, that leaves:
Cockerill Fritsch Geddes Logan McConnell Nesbit Petty Smedley
Which is pretty terrifying, in my opinion.

I was starting to forget how some of these played, so teed off on 8 of the final 9 courses last night under suggested U.S. Open conditions (didn't quite get to The Patriot, but played it before in RRCC). I exhausted myself with the difficulty and am having a really tough time ranking them. They are honestly all worthy in some way, shape, or form. I am grateful to not be a judge. Also, am extremely grateful for all of you putting the effort into making such amazing courses!

Also, I’m not trying to stir up any trouble. But did anyone feel that last weeks What’s Goin’ On with the announcing of the missed cut courses was a little harsh with the”rejected” stamp? And just moving on to the next? I might be the only one but sincerely I didn’t care what happened to Empire Pines. But I’m saying this for others as well. Again, I don’t want any trouble.

Thanks to all involved in this contest. The designers put out some great work, and the community will benefit from these courses for a while. I hope many, if not all make it to tour! Thanks also to the judges and coordinators! They have obviously spent a great deal of their own time on these courses and are to be commended. This was a top notch contest in every way, very well done Mayo and friends! I'm pretty happy that I was able to sneak in the top 10, let alone take 8th. This is about where I had my course ranked personally. Some great courses to still fall in line so good luck to the rest of the folks involved! Looking forward to seeing how it all shakes out.

I thought originally it may have been a bit clumsy, but in the end, Dwain and Geoff have been huge boosters for course designers and I think it may have just been a case of that being the best graphic they could find. I am enjoying the fact they are giving the contest so much love this far.
