So, I’m not the best player. Never have been. But the game has been out for nearly a week, and my best round is 2 over. Now, if this was just because it was challenging, I’d be happy.
But the issue is it’s unfair.
On PC, the tempo constantly jumps around to where one swing is perfect/perfect, and the next is fast/very slow. Now, I know that I complained about this in TGC2, but the jumpiness of that one is mild compared to this. It’s just ridiculous, and it gives me a headache trying to figure it out.
Any suggestions?

If you haven't, move down a clubset to see if the tempo is better there.

Nah, it’s even unplayable on the lowest clubset for me. Even with all the graphics settings turned down.

Master clubs on PC are a nightmare. I get fast/perfect 80% of the time putting me into all sorts of trouble. Yesterday seemed to be in a groove and was playing very well on pro clubs. I decided to go back to master clubs, had a great 1'st round with good tempo and everything. Decided to keep at it, then from that moment on the tempo was terrible. I gave up on them, in fact wound up turning off the game and go stick a knife in my eye, it was more enjoyable. Today even player clubs I'm struggling with a lot of fast/perfects and 90-95% power. Though my swing plane line is pretty good if not too good at times, its just the tempo that is inconsistent Very frustrating. I think the game needs a patch for the pc to adjust the tempo issue. Doesnt seem like its equal to the ps4 and xbox. It's a bit of an uneven playing field right now. To make sure I'm not talking out my ass here I'm going to buy 19 on the PS4 and try it myself to see if what people are reporting is true and that it's easier on the consoles. I don't have any desire to be shooting 10 under in every round, but just want parity between all platforms. I wonder if today is also due to their server being busy being the weekend and everyone playing. Like i say, pro clubs I'm really good on except today was bad baring a few good shots and tempos

I'm with ya jacobkessler all the way. The tempo issues are giving me carpel tunnel like I hade when I played 3C in the Links and TW. Not having fun at the mo.

I own 2019 on PS4 and PC and imo tempo is definitely harder on PC. I'm at a +10 handi and improving on PS4 but on PC I haven't even had the enthusiasm to finish enough rounds for a handicap yet, lol! I imagine I'm breaking even or slightly under par on PC. Anyways, below is a video I made on tempo in regards to this thread: tgctours.proboards.com/thread/15802/poll-mouse-users . I'm not an elite player so take my opinion with a grain of salt. Cheers. My take on tempo:

VSync?

Vsync?
Speaking for myself I am using Vsync (which I usually avoid like the plague) @60fps. If the question is in regards to the "apparent" cursor delay in my video, there's actually no delay at all, but rather, something which has unfortunately been inherited from the recording software I used, Ispring Free Cam 8. When using OBS or any live streaming my meter (swing tempo) goes nuts.

Add me to the frustrated tempo players. I couldn’t get 2 shots the same all night tonight. I had better luck the first day. So im thinking server load may play a factor on tempo. Ive tried numerous ways to push the stick down. I never get the same tempo. Reguardless of how I push it. Its killing me.

The tempo is programmed randomly. I'm convinced it has nothing to do with how fast or slow or rhythmic you move the stick. They took what was good in the beta testing and totally boot f*cked it. When you can't hit a thing on Masters and then drop 59's on Pro's...something is messed up

In TGC2 high frame rates do impact tempo, and locking frame rate to 60fps stabilises input.

But the problem is, my frame rate IS locked at 60 FPS and it’s still ridiculous. I mean, my PC is a little old, but I should be able to hit perfect/perfect consistency on Pro clubs.

In TGC2 there's no way I would ever use Vsync(as in most games because Vsync adds unwanted input delay; Huge nono in FPS especially). Unless I had around 100FPS in TGC2 the only tempo's I would get were slow/slow or slow/very slow.
