Pretty sure they added more penalty to lofting especially past half of the box. The blue channel gets hair thin so yes it is way more sensitive. I rarely loft past half now. Closer to pin either long or short instead of dealing with fade and draw.

I don't know if it's been like this since the last patch or just in the last few weeks but the dispersion I'm getting now when lofting up is hard to figure. (PS4) I'm sure it was much more predictable before but now even with a good swing line I don't know what to expect. The dispersion has gone crazy. The ball just squirts off left or right even with a very good swing. I think I'm taking everything into account (wind, lie, elevation, club) but it's just a lottery as to which direction the ball will take off. Can't be the controller as this only happens when using loft. This is precisely why players who use the short swing/ flick method can play so well. Their swings don’t have nearly as much dispersion because there are less data points, and this aspect is magnified greatly when a flicker uses full loft. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a legal swing and currently unenforceable. However, controllers can be easily modified to artificially produce the short swing effect. It’s an obvious advantage and time that it’s widely acknowledged as such.
