As a judge of this thing I'll say congratulations not just to the winner, but to everyone involved. Just from playing the courses it looks like everyone, from the best course to the worst course learned some valuable lessons that will help them move on to bigger and better things down the road. For a contest like this that is probably just as much the goal as it is for the CC scheduler to get some Tour worthy courses out of it.
Thank you as well to everyone for putting out some solid efforts. For a bunch of rookies it was nice to not have to play a single round of golf while judging that was a struggle or chore to get through. I'd offer judging notes but I'll admit to not making any, plus I'm not a designer just a player so I can't really offer any constructive help beyond my personal opinion of what I liked and didn't like.

From the sound of that you even liked my course. You made me take the time to find out which course was yours and check my scores for it. In an effort to remain unbiased I totally avoided any forum threads so I have no idea who made any of the courses and haven't bothered looking yet since the contest has ended. I disliked your course before I even played it due to it being named Northwood Golf Club The Golf Club. I didn't hold that against it while judging though. Based upon my scores yours was one of the courses in the could use some more work category. It wasn't awful but lacked the polish and cleanliness of most of the other courses. It does look like I was a fan of your greens though, as I scored you quite well in green size and contours. So certainly not a great course, but it was at least decent and playable so it's still a good start.

I had to republish because I ballsed something up (I can't remember what it was now) hence adding the TGC to the end of it to differentiate. I then also released another version tweaked for the Casuals Society which I post fixed CGS. A mistake I made in hindsight was I took inspiration from holes I have played in real life, trouble was these courses were a mixture of links, parkland, hybrid and heathland courses so the course ended up being too mixed up and routing was a bit of a problem trying to mesh them all together. That probably didn't help. Sculpting (especially bunkers) and planting are areas I do need further improvement, but even now I am so far ahead of where I was with my first course Clayton Wood Golf Club on TGC2.
