It all comes down to course standards. Yes we play a lot of pretty courses that look great but play way too eas. When actually comparing courses used on the real tours compared to the courses used on tgct they are nothing alike. We just need more courses that are set up hard and longer but still look the part as well or use the same set up as I do when designing, which is weekday pins and weekend pins to mix it up a little.

;-|Disclaimer Notification: It is NOT my intention to deliberately insult or degrade anyone or groups of people with the following post, nor should anything be assumed as such. Don't try to read between the lines, nothing there. This post is from a little fish in the big ocean.
Guys, I am probably going to get some harsh criticism for this, but f---k it, here goes. All of this b%&ing and whining about courses too easy, too hard, chipping and putting to consistent and easy, winds not fair, blah, blah, blah. All of this sounds like a bunch of 3rd graders complaining about recess or the lunch room. We ALL want this tour to work, this is not the real world with life changing moments on the line. It is for FUN. From what I read on these "complaints" is that it seems to be all of the better or "ELITE" big dogs who are doing most of the b%&ing (Sorry, it's not just because you are THAT good). There are a lot of us "not so good players" (wouldn't surprise me if there were more of us than you) who are struggling with the courses, the pitches, chips, putters, hitting straight shots, JUST PLAYING THIS GAME FOR WHAT IT IS, a golfing simulation to represent the life of a touring pro at all possible levels, A FANTASY. A lot of us not so good players look up to you guys in wonderment and a little envy for your skills and scores and hope to one day achieve what you already have .That is the reason we have these 4 divisions within the TGC. This struggling is why I made it to the champion's tour and I am glad that I am there, there seems to be less of this kind b%&ing and more supportive postings available.
I get it, it is true, that I do not have to read these kinds of posts, and for whatever reason, I can not ignore them! It's like watching a train wreck, can't look away all the time. There is never going to be the "perfect", electronic version of the real thing, it will never happen. It can be improved to within the boundaries of the current technology available, but really can it ever be made to mimic the actual physics that govern a club face striking a round object, account for all possible variables with number generators in the code and then put everything into computer code that would be manageable over a server network and be expected to meet the needs & desires of a gaggle of human beings with their own expectations and idiosyncrasies?
I think that there Is a psychologist or someone like that who is an active member of this group, at least it appears that way from some of his posts. Maybe he would be willing to give those who are complaining about all of this stuff, some virtual therapy sessions to deal with their concern and obvious displeasure with the courses, the reality vs. simulation divide in their lives, just a suggestion. (small lol) We all have the right to express our opinions, but it sad to see it reach this level. This always happens on community sites, maybe that's just the nature of the beast.
OK, pulling my panties up now, got my suit of armor on, ready for the flaming and stone throwing. Think that I'll go finish my last miserable round at Powderfinger and see the nuke results when I finish. Have a nice day children......

My apologies, I just quoted you by mistake and am not implying you are a b%&er. Do you know if I can get rid of the quote in editing mode? I had touched the quote button by mistake and did not realize it you pointed it out. I follow you (not formally) and respect what you offer to this community and your skills. Please, accept my most humble apology. Sorry. ...

So the courses are too easy for you we get it. But the majority are happy.no one is forcing you to play these "easy courses". Set up your own tour and make it as hard as you want, who knows you might get ten others that will join you

In retrospect, I think that I quoted you because I agreed with you. This kind of stuff will happen I know, but to the extent that we seem to be heading (conjecture), I don't want this site to end up like a lot of others with in fighting and such non-respectful behavior that drives people away and defeat the original purpose of the founders and supporters. Thanks for people like you who seem to have the respect for both the game and the participants.

At the end of the day it's a game and everyone can play the same way yet they decide to debate for hours on end. I don't see why people need to do this. ;-|Disclaimer Notification: It is NOT my intention to deliberately insult or degrade anyone or groups of people with the following post, nor should anything be assumed as such. To be honest I really enjoy this game and want it to be as good and realistic as possible and I can and do b%& about little things here and there about realism in the game. I have much more respect for the developers of this game than the money making machine EA sports. I hate to think of the money I have spent on the Tiger Woods games over the years even going back to the pga tour games on the sony megadrive and before that leaderboard on the C64. So I have been playing video game golf for a long time. I will take my hat off to the creators of the game and this tour. I think its amazing that I can pay £27 for a golf game and have regular updates improving the game, play hundreds of amazing courses because of the great designers out there and a fantastic tour to play with, that has a great community. Seems too good to be true

Again I dont give a damn about winning, im not posting a sob story about that. I just felt like we are mostly grown in here from what I can tell and the course's just seem like childs play. please learn how to use the edit button, its annoying seeing 2-3 or more of your posts back to back to back over and over and over again. please understand, its not the courses that is making the game this easy, its the low winds that most players play in. but, if you had been around long enough, you would know this.

The courses are fine. Overall the game is good. (Best video golf game I've played to date. So players need to stop whining and just play the dam game the way it is.

I'll be frank and to the point. If we want scores that mimic the actual real life PGA Tour events, we need scout cam disabled, green grids off, and maximum firmness in GNCD.

it would be good to remove the green grids. a bit like how EA did it, where u had to move your putting marker around to pick up the breaks if you couldnt see it, via elevation changes. it would be awesome if we had a reading mode, where your putting marker went into metric CM's and picked up the smallest of deviations of a read. unfortunately its stuck in inches and thus u cant pick up deviation less than an inch.
We shouldnt have to have more firmness because its extreme anyway. id prefer softer greens yet alot more breaks, because we cant have the ball rolling off glass greens and thats what happens with severe slopes even on medium firmness
