Hi Folks, an update has been pushed out to steam users with the following notes.Over the past couple weeks we have been working hard to optimize the load on our servers in an effort to reduce transition times and delays. This update will improve the experience with some client side optimizations that we have completed. In this update you will also see the following: • Society and Career stats updating with less delay from the server. • In-Game leaderboards updating with less delay from the server. • We have added the ability to donate to a society’s bank from your personal wallet. • We have added an active course filter to show all course with active rivals on them. • A setting has been added to turn off the ball label for ghosts and rivals. • Rebalanced AI for Career Mode. • Less time delay between turn based shots with rivals/friends. • Lighting adjustments

Cool, downloading now and will report back after my society event. Not sure I'll notice any difference - never really encountered any server related problems aside from 1 never repeated hole in one glitch.

It is a start, but so many bugs/issues not addressed. This patch hits PC now, 1-3 weeks on Consoles and then we have to wait even longer for the next patch. Hey Doyley is there any discussion of not starting the new season until they get global wind fixed?

I'm not seeing any change with the lighting...not sure why that was posted as one of the fixes. I'd wait until sometime in September to start any tours. There's just way to much to be fixed on this game to be starting anything right now. It's just like any new game......loaded with bugs!!

Please do not delay the re start of the season. There is 0 point in doing so. Everything revolves around a 40 week period so there is no difference in starting today or in 3 months from now 40 weeks catch up eventually plus the boredom of waiting forever for competitive play to start will probably have some people not showing up.

Wind issue won't delay start of season - we've still got lots of coding to do so that's the main delay right now.

Their response asked if they loaded the ghost before playing or if it was in society or career mode.
They are either in denial or think everyone is telling lies about society wind not being the same.

This type of response seems familiar. I suppose someone needs to upload 16 videos proving the point, and in 6 months they'll come back saying they knew it all along and it was purposely kept out of the game and a year from now they'll change it without telling anyone. |

Ok, i need a definition for what "less delay" means here... like 1 day instead of 2 days or 5 minutes instead of 2 days?

I can confirm the game is great post-patch. It was great pre-patch mind.
Not a jot of difference AFAICS, but hope the server side stuff does improve things for those seeing issues there. Certainly no magic bullet here for those that hate the game right now.

Lighting was changed for sure. It's subtle but it's there. I'm just miffed my TAA is MIA

I was hoping they'd get client side caching in this first update. Was surprised it wasn't there to begin with but glad to see that there now. The PS4 golfer swing animation glitches are truly hilarious. I hope they never fix them!

Of all those "updates" in that patch, the only one that I even care about is the lighting improvements. But i don't really even notice any change there either.
The only updates I want or would wait for to re-start season 3 are...
1) Universal wind
2) Get rid of clubs change in game glitch
3) De-couple swing tempo from framerate/server hiccups
4) Removal of all but tour club sets... (LOL)
OK, so maybe just the first 3. Had to throw the last one out there to be an a$$
Also wish they had increase allowed # of society memberships to 10
I am very much enjoying playing this game though. Especially since tournaments right now don;t really count for anything other than bragging rights...
