Well it seems I'm missing the cut, that double bogie on the 14th in the 2nd round is what killed my chances that and just not being on target with my approach shots

Only a notch is right. I tried Persimmon last night before bed. Had one of the most unbelievable front 9s I'll ever have. 8 birdies and 1 eagle for -10. Finished the round at -12. Persimmon has some narrower fairways than Harvest. Greens felt more.. Whats the word.. Consistent? At Harvest there were some completely flat mixed in with some almost unfair slopes. Persimmon doesn't have either. Permisson valley seems a bit fairer alright but I think we will see some great scoring again. I set up a practice tour if anyone is interested tgctours web week 5 practice. I wonder can anyone hit -50 Just to be aware tgctours.proboards.com/thread/4649/use-tgctours-name-practice-tourneys

I'm holding on to a place inside the cut line (just) as it stands. Anyone think it will move before Friday up to -19 to survive? I don't think it will but I've been told it often goes up as the deadline approaches.

Got my first ever tgctour hole in one in the 4th round on the 3rd hole. Was pretty satisfying since I played a 5 iron with low loft every round to leave it short except a little more low loft put it in the cup. Besides a disappointing 2nd round, which leaves me hoping to make the cut at -18, I finished with a -38 and a 67 in the 2nd round is to blame!

Wow...-18 and on the verge of the cut line...it will be a shame to see my last 2 rounds wiped off. Let's hope some console/PC will explode XDD

I don't think it will but I've been told it often goes up as the deadline approaches. I'm at -18 as well. Quite a few players still remain so I would guess we are sitting at 50-50 right now of it going to -19. I knew the scores would be good but really didn't think -18 would be in jeopardy. Crazy scores

I'm still in shock. I thought -17 would be okay. Not that it matters too much with my last two rounds. I feel for you guys and girls who did well your last 2 rounds. I don't know why scoring was so low this week, it wasn't that easy.

Yeah I agree, I went out hoping to get to -14 minimum for the first two rounds as I thought that might have been the mark, I played a few practice rounds and was averaging -6 or so and was lucky enough to card two 61's in the real thing, my scores came back nearer to what I was shooting in practice in the final 2 rounds and I finished -36. I don't know how the scores are this low for the whole field it seems, imagine what the cut would be without those silly pins on 2, 7 & 16 as I'm sure they cost quite a few headaches this week.

Did a quick check of the stats for the last 2 tourneys doing a simple average Harvest Avg putts - 1.42 Driving 93% GIR 88
Oktoberfest Avg putts -1.49 Driving 73% GIR 67%
Oktoberfest had a lot more places you could get into trouble... Harvest was relatively simple to get from tee to green, so I think your not seeing a lot of people put up high scores and ends up being whoever can jam their putts in.
I'd guess that Oktoberfest at 73% driving average is one of the lowest we've had on tour recently.

Right on the cut line after a -13 first round and an abysmal -5 2nd round! Crazy. I actually ended up shooting pretty decent for my next 2 rounds so if I miss the cut its going to really sting.

Yeah Oktoberfest's stats are very very similar to the Tee to green stats of real life tour pros. Would be good to have courses like that each week but some people moaned and will moan that the fairways aren't realistic sized etc, even though they give out more realistic results. Be interesting to see what you webbers prefer? Realistic sized fairways with 90%+ hit or unrealistic sized fairways with real to life 70% hit?

Prefer a mix of both tbh, people complaining this week is too easy, people complaining last week was too hard, you can't win. Keep the mix of courses going.
