One thing I'm tempted to try if object meter isn't too bad is to make a bush very small and pass that off as heather but could take ages!
I'm just trying it as we speak to see how the theme looks with an upcoming project I'm about to start.
I'm also thinking Atlantic Beach club could be very good for some UK links courses

Quick Update - this works with LiDAR and TPC Boston is the theme I've been screaming out for with UK Heathland. Chad, you have done it again my friend! thank you so much!

Once you get the file and unzip where do you place the files?

Once you get the file and unzip where do you place the files? C: > yourusername > appdata > locallow > 2k > TGC2019 > courses You may need to check you have hidden files and folders visible

This is a great thing Chad! One question (and I may be ignorant here) but I put all the new courses in my "course" folder but they all have the same name (... terrain) How do you know which is which aside from Winter which is obvious so you can rename them in the game? Or do you have to bring them down to Chads tools and rename them there?

Skip through one by one and rename. Easiest way.

Skip through one by one and rename. Easiest way. Thanks Ben, but I used Chads tool and it works fine (and you can put in longer names lol). I just opened up Atlantic Beach in the designer, and a couple of questions for Chad or all: 1. All the new objects are great! A couple of them (in Buildings: Misc) do not drop into the plot though, like the tennis court and a thing that might be a wall. I moved them up and down but they won't show up on the terrain. You can select them after you drop them (the tennis court shows up as a circle) and move them horizontally but still no show. 2. Three pages of new townhouses! The thumbnails for some of these have the word "Low" in red on them. They still seem to drop in though. Any ideas? Anyway it is fun investigating!

Will PS4 and Xbox users be able to play courses that are designed using these new theme and object variations?

Will PS4 and Xbox users be able to play courses that are designed using these new theme and object variations? Would have thought so, as it will just be like any other published course by a user

Well, I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but HB is aware of this and looks like they will most likely be patching this (my guess is the legal issues surrounding the tournament objects). HB Shaun told me in a PM that he recommends not to publish anything with the new objects or "themes" I've been PM'ing with HB Shaun asking (pleading) for at the very least that they could remove those potentially troubling objects and release the new tree/bush combos as their own themes (you know, since they will already be patching this, why not do this relatively small thing for a group of dedicated designers who build amazing courses to sell your game). I was told that they already released all the objects they could in the last update (apparently 15 or so sheds was all they could release?), but there are "other restrictions on the number of items of each type that can be available in-game in each of the themes" (which makes no sense if you just remove the legal-trouble objects. Also I was told that this was "not something we will be making further changes to for 2019".
Shaun, or any other HB employees that will most likely be reading this in the next couple days, I am done biting my tongue. I have been a loyal backer of this game and have bent over backwards to pump the tires of this TGC 2019. Through streams and tutorials that have literally been seen over 100,000 times, myself (and other awesome TGC 2019 streamers and youtubers) have sold this game for you through their content and course designs, while you haven't given us much more than an update on the future of this game or this franchise. Your interaction with the community is an absolute embarrassment and how you treat your hardcore fanbase is just appalling, but you can get away with it because you are the only golf game on the market.
All we are asking for is something new and fresh for the designer. I understand the potential legal issues, but why can't you just remove those objects and release the new plants and terrain combos as their own separate themes? I know nothing about making a video game, but I feel like this wouldn't take a ton of time to do as a service to your fan base. But you aren't going to. Really sad.

Well said, it's such a shame - I was so excited today that I had a theme that I could use for my favourite course in the world, a course I've been holding off in doing just to see if there will be a new game with flexible themes. If nothing else, it would be amazing if HB could just say, yes, we are doing a new game and yes we are looking at these design features. It would help no end. Please please please just remove the trademark objects and allow us to have fun with this whilst we wait for the new game.
