I thought of one more thing. What about people who's handicap fluctuates in and our of the qualification zone? Mine usually hits somewhere between 20 and 25. Right now I'm at 24.something. give it a week or two and I'm sure I'll be back down to 21 or 22. Just depends on how easy/hard the courses are. I'm on the other end of that, lol. In the last couple weeks, I've seen my handicap rise from 6.8 to 8.8 (so close!). I'm not sure how much higher it will go - but I'm sure it won't stay there, lol. Maybe if I'm lucky enough to participate, I should be paired with someone like swany19

Also on posting your scores if we just keep it simple ie: Team 3, Samuelson Mustang Ridge 60 -11 I think that is a good format but if you prefer it a different way let us know because you are the man in this new league. Oh that's right, someone needs to come up with a name for this new league... suggestions? I like what a lot of people in the state tourney do - wait, and post both scores at the same time. It would really keep the posts down.

Just need to find balance somehow, thus my thought of a very wide handicap range.

Depending on the number of participants, it sounds like a lot of work determining the skill level of everyone, and pairing them accordingly - especially if you plan on mixing them up every season. The good thing is, with everyone posting picture proof with their scores, you can see their handicap in the pic. Maybe track (on a dreaded spreadsheet) everyone's HDCP at the beginning and end of each season?

Hey, there's another idea... should we play two rounds on two different pin placements instead of two different courses?

Thanks for stepping up Jason, sounds like you have a grip on a plan. That will make it a lot easier. Count me in if you need players! I'm also going to launch an XB1 society very soon. It will not be cross platform.(XB1 only) Details to follow on a separate thread soon. (Not a hijack of this thread I just know you're on XB1, and might be interested) Again, thanks for filling some big shoes!!!

Mine won't be society based but will be off the grid, similar to American State and Pandora that Ninja runs. Any ideas for mine, feel free to share!

Maybe we can somehow incorporate my society: "T14 Ex Patriots" with yours? I currently play 2 rounds on a different course every 3 days with no repetitions. Any player here is also welcome to join.

Interesting 2 Different pin placements and 2 different tees sounds like a good idea

Maybe do a monthly or bi monthly major have a points system leading to a playoff series. Require a different home course every month possibly.

Another suggestion:
As the Handicap might be a good way to make fair teams you could also get a good indication by having the first week be Q-School. Everyone could be required to play 2 courses and submit their scores and the final scores from Q-School gives each player a rank. Then just assemble fair teams based on the players ranks.
Or the top 50% of the field become captains and in reverse order of finishing they get to draft their teammate. (Could be a disaster, but drafts are always exciting.)
Just pitching some ideas. I'm interested regardless!
