Finished up at the Bearded Pelican the other day. The first round certainly seemed to play much easier than the second on the Pin 4 set. Overall an enjoyable course, and for the most part planning my route from the green back to the tee seemed to be beneficial, which you don't always get with a course.
Next up is Ocean of Memories. Shortly after setting this one on the schedule, I saw the HB swing video which featured a few shots of it, so impeccable timing. To avoid using courses currently in use or upcoming for other societies, I am working backwards on my to play list in hopes of bringing back a few good ones that folks may have forgotten about or not played in awhile.

Eeked out my last 9 at Ocean of Memories on Saturday. I had a little bit of lag from crowds, although not too bad. I wish there was an option to turn off crowds instead of being forced to use them, as I can't even tell before picking a course whether or not it has crowds.
The visuals were impeccable as usual, but there were some really good holes, as well. There were a few odd holes which I had trouble with, but otherwise maybe the best collection of holes in an ArcticFury course that I have played so far (granted I am a few behind).
The next two weeks have been set, with Pelikila Golf Club and The Sleeping Giant coming up.

Pelikila was brutal, especially in the first round. I find the rough way too often to be hitting 150+ yard approach shots over OB. I guess I should have considered that during testing... but at least the course looked great!
After The Sleeping Giant in the coming week, I've split the following week into single rounds at The Dusty Lion (East) and The Dusty Lion (West).
I realized that all of these events are still contributing to Season 1, which makes any points pretty much irrelevant. With that in mind, I am going to end the season after the Dusty Lion and immediately kick off Season 2. I may make a new thread for that season as well.

Finished up The Sleeping Giant yesterday (or was it the day before?), which is earlier than normal for me. Super enjoyable course, with lots of ways to play it. The first go-round seemed pretty easy, but thoroughly enjoyable. The second was a little more difficult, or at least I perceived it that way. That 4th pin set was maybe sneakily more difficult, I think.
Next Sunday after Dusty Lion is complete, I am going to see if the game will allow me to end the season (which I know I can) and then turnaround and start Season 2 immediately (not sure if there is a wait period). I will slate Greenbrier CC in there for the first week, whenever it starts. Which version of the course is still TBD, will give each a quick peek to see what I like.

Reminder to the 3 people or so who play this. This week is two different courses due to playing the East and West courses, so the first event ends tonight. The round on the West will begin tomorrow.

You should set this up on ps4 as well. I didn't get it on PS4 this time, otherwise I would. Maybe if I could pick it up for like $10, but otherwise I won't be forking over any more money for TGC2. 2019 on the other hand, might be worth the investment. But if someone on PS4 wanted to set it up/run it for me.....

To expand on the last post, I do plan on creating a new thread after this weekend to start the new season, and I may rename the society. Now that it's not tied to my course reviews, I see no reason to have my name (sort of) in it. The beginning of Season 2 would be a great time for anyone on PS4 or Xbox that is interested in joining to take on ownership duties.

In a classic TGC2 move, the front page of the society reads "No Active Events", but when I go to end the season I get a message saying that the season could not be ended because there are still active events. I'm going to keep trying until tomorrow night, and if it still isn't working, I guess I'll keep going with some shorter events until I hit the season limit.

Alright, finally got it ended. Going to create a new thread for Season 2, going under the new name of The Original Golfer Society. I like "The OG" moniker, if you are wondering about the name.
