60 to 20 to 29 to 36. Feel like a yo-yo.
So now that the maximum number of events used is 40, I wonder if the number of events that are full weight is still 13? That would mean every event after 13 weeks old loses 1/28 of its value or almost 4%.
But there may have been other changes as well. Sloaner jumped back up ahead of me and was behind me before this latest xhange. Not bringing that up to whine, just noting that because it makes me feel like more was changed that 52 max events to 40.

0 to 20 to 29 to 36. Feel like a yo-yo. So now that the maximum number of events used is 40, I wonder if the number of events that are full weight is still 100%? That would mean every event after 13 weeks old loses 1/28 of its value or almost 4%. But there may have been other changes as well. Sloaner jumped back up ahead of me and was behind me before this latest xhange. Not bringing that up to whine, just noting that because it makes me feel like more was changed that 52 max events to 40. I'll let Tim and Matt say what factors are officially in - but I don't think it's 4% though. Think it's more in the 1.92% range. Pretty sure they went with 52 weeks after your 13 full weighted weeks (for a total of 65 week pool of results). It allows for off weeks and lets people go on vacations without feeling they are putting themselves behind the 8-ball when they're supposed to be relaxing by a pool! Don't quote me on the #'s above as I'm just trying to get out what I heard last so until you hear it from Matt or Tim it's just hearsay!

I was incorrect and think I have it figured out in general terms without knowing the exact numbers. I'll just wait to hear an official update.

Jumping ahead on this, but after the first update, the graphs in our profiles reflected that update of WGR progression. Once a format is decided on, will these graphs be updated at some point? No rush if so, just curious. I just liked seeing retroactively where I crossed certain milestones and how my best and worst performances affected me under the new formula.
Again, thank you for all the work that the staff put in here to make TGCT an enjoyment for so many, myself included.

You keep moving back up with each modification. #DoyleyConspiracy My new sig has technically been correct through it all! Random question Doyley but been meaning to ask it for ages. Did I win the HB Studios Open last year? The tournament leaderboard has me in 1st place (http://tgctours.com/Tournament/Leaderboard/465?showEarnings=true) but my career summary doesn't show me as having any wins (http://tgctours.com/Player/Career/?playerId=16110) and my seasons results also has me down as tied 2nd in the event (http://tgctours.com/player/season/16110?tourId=4&season=2015).

Constructive criticism is healthy and just shows that the players in this league care and like to remain engaged. The lack of apathy here is a testament to the strength and character of the league. I don't think anyone has suggested TGCT is poorly run. There some that have been although I agree that it would have been worse in other communities.

So there was another change today/tonight? Yep. Specifics of what was changed not posted yet. I have an inkling of how a good portion of it works, but will wait for the official explanation.

Nope, we actually decreased the decay from 2.5% to 1.92% so a major win wouldn't decay after just a year.. So that means a year after a major win, you are still receiving 25% of those points.

Just to be clear my two posts in this thread are in no way complaining or filled with anger. I just have no idea what's going on.. lol
I could be 9,999 in WGR for all I care.
