60 to 20 to 29 to 36. Feel like a yo-yo. So now that the maximum number of events used is 40, I wonder if the number of events that are full weight is still 13? That would mean every event after 13 weeks old loses 1/28 of its value or almost 4%. But there may have been other changes as well. Sloaner jumped back up ahead of me and was behind me before this latest xhange. Not bringing that up to whine, just noting that because it makes me feel like more was changed that 52 max events to 40. Nope, we actually decreased the decay from 2.5% to 1.92% so a major win wouldn't decay after just a year.. So that means a year after a major win, you are still receiving 25% of those points. I realized it was different that that afterwards. That was a reaction within a few minutes off looking at it.

Now back to #3 ahead of Brian Murphy. Although he will probably be really close to my #3 ranking after the Sony Open. I finished 17th and he finished 10th.
As I said before, catching Ian or Brad level of play is as slim as me winning the Powerball Jackpot, but as long as I keep only those two ahead of me, I'm happy.

Major WGR OverhaulWe are unveiling a massive WGR overhaul that will mimic the real OWGR almost exactly kinda..well... ya almost...you'll see. This is going to be a shock to some of you ...repeatedly - some good and some bad.. - when you see your new rankings....at first you'll laugh a little...then you'll shake your head..until finally you'll just say...WHO CARES

I'm at 25 or so events and climbing no matter the math. Step up or step out, there's a new kid in town now and he's not taking prisoners, he's taking names..

Week 14 has been finalized and the first week under the new WGR is afoot. Lots of movement - inactives moving down, winners jumping up. Let us know your thoughts!

I crapped out on the PGA, so you are someone in my focus.

Not complaining or anything, but noticed in the history tab on my profile that last week, it shows I dropped 40 WGR spots (from 160 to 201) despite a T26 finish at Montego Bay. Seemed a bit weird as I would have thought being around 160 WGR, that I wouldn't be able to drop that far given an okay finish.
Is that because the PGA event that week was a minor event and thus had less WGR available, so everyone on the Euro passed me or something? Or is it just something to do with the inactives coming back?

It's like that because we changed the WGR formula and didn't recalculate the entire database yet - so that's just he change from the 1st (or 2nd or 3rd ... ha!) iteration we had in place until we finally settled on what we have now. Pretty much ignore it and once we redo the database (it takes a real long time) all the charts etc should look good again
