1st Round - 67 at Mt. Yeti
What was the highlight of your round/tournament?
Bogie free round with a couple of good scramble saves
What was the low-light of your round/tournament?
Was too nervous throughout the round which lead to silly mistakes
What did you think of the course?
Love Mt. Yeti. The course played very nicely with medium winds
How did you fare on the leaderboard? Who were you trying to beat?
Solid start to the tournament with no bogies. I'm hoping to build on the start

Nerves started to settle after the front 9 and started playing a lot better What was the low-light of your round/tournament? 3 Bogies should have been a 64 What did you think of the course?Ahhh the fresh air of The Club on Whispering River leaves you feeling refreshed. Great course with scoring opportunities but it will also bite you if you are not careful How did you fare on the leaderboard? Who were you trying to beat?
Just building on the solid start so far. Next up the dreaded Copper Creek

*Sits Down at Microphone disgustedly, No Question has been Asked*
"Rounds 2 and 3 were downright disgusting. Whispering River? I expected at least -6 and I was flying high when I made the turn at -4 with two lip out birdies and an inexcusable 3 jack bogey. Turns out the putter was frozen solid on the back. I had 2 FOUR putts on the back and before I knew it I was +1 and irate. Was able to steady off than capitalize on the closing par 5's to limp away with an under par round, but leaving not only my pride but my PGA Tour hopes out there as well. As for Copper Creek, some really dumb play from me had me +3 in a flash. A hole out birdie from the trap on 9 kickstarted the round but the highlight shot was from the fairway on 18 that had to be carried out over the water on the right due to the strong winds. Was able to get in at even which normally would make me happy but I should have been -3 as I tripled one of the Par 3's on the back with lag in my backswing causing a 90% shot and ending up back at the tee box for my 3rd and ultimately poor play led to a triple. This is not how I intended Q-School to go and am disappointed in myself and extremely upset at my play.
*Abruptly Leaves Press Tent Leaving all 2 journalists that cared about an average player completely bewildered*
This is fantastic! I could almost write the same one! I completely sh*t the bed on rounds 2 and 3, easily shooting my worst rounds on those courses. Sigh. Dreams of being a non-competitive PGA player are fading fast.

*Sits down and clears throat, waking up the handful of reporters that camped out in the press tent overnight*
"Howdy fellas, sorry, I didn't stop by after my 3 rounds last night, lets do some questions!"
*Reporters look around fuzzy eyed, grab their recording equipment and begrudgingly begin*
You are through 3 rounds how do you feel?
"Pretty awful honestly. I shot a respectable 66 on Yeti in round 1 and felt like I was right where I wanted to be. I came in knowing I won't ever really compete on the PGA tour, but I figured I was good enough to make the tour and be a guy to fill out the mid to low end of the tournament leaderboards each week. Turns out I was wrong."
Why do you say that?
"I didn't take advantage of Whispering River at all. I knew that was the only course I was comfortable enough on to go semi-low and I think that expectation put too much pressure on my round. I couldn't make anything happen. I was all over the place. Very disappointed in myself. But that wasn't the worst of it."
It gets worse?
"I'll say. I was so frustrated I decided to take on round 3. Copper Creek was enjoying a nice windy evening. Huge mistake trying to take it on angry. I had never scored above par on any of my Q School practice rounds. Posting a +1 in round 3 may have sealed my fate."
*Chris stands up abruptly, looking over his shoulder, as if seeing through the press tent to an office only he can see*
"Thanks for listening to the moanings of an average player fellas. I gotta get back to my day job, but I'll try to swing by after my rounds tonight and give you some more quotes."
*The reporters look at each other and shrug, settling back in to their uncomfortable sleeping positions*
"Who was that guy?"
"Doesn't matter."

Round 2 - Whispering River: 62
What was the highlight of your round? Gotta be that opening eagle on the first hole. Always a great way to get your round going. Drained a nice long putt to go top of the leaderboard, after one hole at least.
What was the low-light of your round? No bogies today, so that was good, although I'm pretty disappointed to finish with two pars on the final par fives. I albatrossed the last hole in my practice round, but the wind was in my face today and I had to settle for a very long three putt.
What did you think of the course? I always enjoy playing here, you get some nice views and the golf is challenging but fair.
How did you fare on the leaderboard? Who were you trying to beat? A 62 here today is mighty fine. I think I'm managing to step up a level when a tour card is on the line. The courses are only going to get trickier from here on now though.

Jeff Botkin now sitting down at the podium following at 2nd Round 68 at Whispering River.
What was the highlight of your round/tournament?
The highlight for me did not come until the final hole. I made a 20ft putt for Eagle to salvage a 68(-4)
What was the low-light of your round/tournament?
Definitely it was having 4 bogeys throughout the round. Absolutely could have done better. A couple were from 3-putts. Should have brought in a 64 on this course.
What did you think of the course?
This course was great, it is a course you can go low on with the soft greens. Beautiful views and a fun round.
How did you fare on the leader board? Who were you trying to beat?
For myself I'm trying make the PGA Tour. So I think i'm on track with two rounds in red figures. The 3rd round at copper creek will separate a lot of the field. It is a very difficult course with tight landing areas. I need to get some practice in on that course so that I can keep improving my score.

James LeBlond - Press Conference after finishing with a 67 (-5) at Mt. Yeti
Mr. LeBlond, what was the highlight of your round?
"Well, at first I didn't think I was going to have much to be happy about, because I got rattled early. But I scrambled with the putter, nailing two putts from 25+ feet for Par, I had a great 30 foot chip from the fringe on the 9th for Bird, I got lucky out of the rough on 16, the ball hit the slope just right, slowed down, and rolled to be a couple feet away for another birdie, and rallying to birdie the last 3 holes to shoot that 67.
What was the low-light of your round?
"That's easy. My ex-wife contacting me on the 3rd hole about the visitation schedule during the holidays. She seriously wants me to have Christmas with my kids in January! Completely threw my focus off. I've fired my caddy for leaving my cell phone on during a FREAKIN' Q-SCHOOL QUALIFYING ROUND!!!..." James takes his Boston Red Sox Titleist hat off and rubs his temples, then continued.
"After that, I had the yips for a bit, because I was struggling to re-focus. I was pushing everything right, missed a lot of fairways. I really thought I shot myself in the foot on 13, with a bad tee shot to the far end of the green, and bogeyed with poor putting. I was very fortunate to settle in and finish the round the way I did. Makes me want to come back."
What did you think of the course?
"Honestly, it's a pretty course, but I hated playing it. For as challenging as I felt my round was, that's currently my best score playing here, so there was lots of room for improvement. I seemed to struggle with location and course management in the winds. They were gusting pretty good (9-18 MPH). It's picturesque....and why aren't the locals helping the whales who are clearly in shallow waters!?!?!"
How did you fare on the leaderboard, heading into your next round?
"Uhm...I'm trying not to think about it. I do know where I am, and as a perfectionist, I'm trying to block it out and just take it one shot at a time. I feel my game is good enough to compete at the PGA Tour Level, and that's why this is such a tremendous opportunity for all of us, to truly see where your skills put you. I'll be disappointed if I don't achieve my goal of making the Big Tour, but if I'm meant to earn my way through the Web.com Tour, I'll make it the best experience possible."
"Thank you, let's call it a day here."

So Mark how do you feel after the 2nd round in Q-school?
I had a great first round and just didn't want to blow it with a bad second round score. I lowered my expectations a bit so as to take off some pressure. But I felt pretty good out there even though I felt even more pressure during my 2nd round than my first. To have 2 full rounds under my belt with no bogeys, well it made a big difference. I never felt like I was playing from behind and didn't have to press on any shots or holes. I kept it safe and allowed the course to come to me.
But still a long ways to go. Will not feel safe until this is over.

- The highlight of my round was getting the anticipation out of the way. I tee'd it up on hole 1 and drove it 300+ down the middle. That was a relief
- I'd say the lowlight of my round were the 3 bogeys. It was difficult to give back 3 strokes in this first round
- Mt Yeti has been a tough course since we started practicing here. My best practice round was a 66. I was able to shoot a 66 to match my best. Overall a good course to kick off Q School
- As far as the leaderboard, I'm trying not to pay attention to it. I'll play my best and hopefully I'll end up in a favorable position after round 6. I'd like to be in a top ten spot on xb1 but I'll take top 40% anyday
- Do you think you'll make the tour? ---Yes I honestly think that I'll make the tour. There are many great golfers who are registered for Q School but I feel like I'm consistently playing well enough to be in the top 20 on my system.

Having just completed his final round at the inagural TGC Tour Q-school, David Brown aka BrownieF104 enters the press tent and makes his initial statement. "First off, let me thank HB Studiots for creating the most outstanding, realistic and challenging golf game ever made. From day one I loved the game and was challenged and entertained, but like real golf, had to practice and learn the nuances of putting, shot planning and execution. I'm a former golf professional in real life and still can shoot close to par, but being 50+, my skills are in decline. In this game I can relive the thrills of 300 yard drives and an occasional eagle. Playing amazing venues and courses from the comfort of home, all with a $35 lifetime greens fee! And then along comes this amazing group at TGC that created this incredible tour. Bravo! Although I practiced a ton and got my game in decent shape, I was really nervous for a solid 2 rounds and kept that edge all the way through qualifying. Imagine....nervous playing a video golf game with no money on the line, just the quest to earn a card on one of the tours! So thank you all. And to the golf course designers....wow. My wife wonders why I play this game and it's because of the game, but also so much the fact we can play new creative courses. Keep them coming and know that You designers are appreciated so much as well as..."
A reporter interrupts Brownie mid sentence. "Come on! You think we have all day? We've got 700 players to interview! Quit sucking up and tell us about your golf or get the hell out of the tent!"
What was the highlight of your Q-School? Played a solid but nervous round of 68 at Mt Yeli and was about even par through 10-11 holes at Whispering River and then holed a 4 iron from 180+ yards for eagle. Then almost made a hole in one on the next hole for a kick in birdie. Finished with 65 with a great back 9. Career best at Son Gaul after saving bogey on the first with 20' putt. Played almost a error free at Copper Creek and had career best 67. The highlight for me however was shooting -7 at Kodiak. Best score by 4 shots!!! Made some long putts and only bogie was a 3 putt on 17. Solid again to finsh last day to come in at -33. Best qualifying effort was -18, so thrilled to say the least.
What was the low-light of your round/tournament? No double bogeys!
What did you think of the courses? All the practice rounds paid off. I knew these courses well and really got to respect them.
How did you fare on the leaderboard? Who were you trying to beat? Was just trying to do my best. I know I've got a long way to go to be in the top tier, but I was just trying not to beat myself and make mistakes and I succeeded.
What's next for you? Hopefully the PGA Tour!!

Round 2 @ Whispering River- 67
Storming off the 18th green at Whispering River with putter firmly grasped in right hand J. Surguine aka FLJon walks past the press tent heading straight towards the putting green mumbling under his breath.... "15 birdie putts and I only make 6?!?!?..REALLY?!?!? @#%#@#$"......."and what is up with this Copper thing coming up next that I hear so much about?!?!?"
Strolling onto the putting green wondering what that 3 putt on 18 is going to cost me......
