The Press Tent will be a feature on TGC Tours where you can come in after a round or tournament and answer some questions from the press. You can let off some steam or tell about some great (or not so great) shots. Some of your answers will be used in Tournament recaps. Have fun, keep it clean! Questions (answer as many or as few as you like) - What was the highlight of your round/tournament?
- What was the low-light of your round/tournament?
- What did you think of the course?
- How did you fare on the leaderboard? Who were you trying to beat?
- Ask your own question and answer it!

I will be taking no questions after a round on Kodiak Reserve. Think of the children.

Quenneville Mildly Disappointed With His Opening +1 Round at Mt. Yeti
Andre Quenneville was one of the very first golfers to tee off at TGCTours.com 2014 Q-School. He posted a 73 (+1) that consisted of 3 birdies and 4 bogeys. He is just about to sit down at the podium to answer a few questions.
What was the highlight of your round today?
"Probably my tee shot on 8 and my approach on 16 which led to easy birdies. Unfortunately these kind of shots were too few and far between."
Any shots you would like to have back this round?
" Definitely my tee shot on 10. I lost my focus and drove it into the fairway bunker leading to bogey. That one stung the most. I missed a couple very makeable putts to save par on 13 and 15 which killed any momentum I had. "
How do you feel about your +1 today?
"Not great, but not devastated either. I came into Q-School looking for a spot on the Web.com tour with an outside chance of sneaking into the PGA tour if I put it all together. I did not take advantage of the Par 5's here today, ones I dominated in my practice rounds. There are five rounds left, plenty of time for me to put together some good holes and make some low scores... now if you will excuse me, I'm off to Whispering River!"

Very disappointed With My Opening +6 Round at Mt. Yeti
It was all about the putter today or lack there off. Missing easy birds, 3 putting from short distances. My strong part today was my driving which is what usually lets me down.
What was the highlight of your round today?
Chip in on 15, my only birdie.
Any shots you would like to have back this round?
Several, on the par 5's. In close for bird on all of them, had to settle for par.
How do you feel about your +6 today?
Terrible. Winds were perfect, driving was good. It was a round that I could have shot under par..It was there for me.

Left Too Many Out There at Mt. Yeti What was the highlight of your round/tournament? Back to back stuck approaches on 7 and 8 to get my round going. What was the low-light of your round/tournament? Parring the first 3 holes, normally play them at least -2 under and just made the worse mess of them had 3 good birdie looks and missed em all. This is a course that I was aiming for a -5 and ended up -3 and didn't birdie the holes that I normally do. Im disappointed but if I go under par every round and don't make the top 250, Im just gonna have to tip my cap to the people that beat me.

•How did you fare on the leaderboard? Who were you trying to beat? Just played my best round ever at Mt Yeti with a -12. Wanted to post a low score out of the gate to calm my nerves for the rest of the tour. I accomplished that. Not really gunning for any names, just want to play the best I can and see where it takes me.
+How did it compare to your practice rounds? My two practice rounds before this were -2 and -4, so really blew that away and now I'm heading into Whispering River with some confidence.
+Slower start, but you really turned things around with your shot on 9. Tell us about it. Missed a few putts early but was striking the ball well. The shot on 9 was definitely the catalyst to ending -12. Once I saw it drop in for an eagle I knew this might be my day.
+Great round and thanks for taking a few minutes with us. My pleasure...I might not be so cheerful after the next round.

+ You seemed to be struggling out there Sam? Yeah! I only flew in yesterday & the time difference is playing havoc with my body clock.
+ What was the highlight of your round/tournament? That's easy... Standing on that Mount Yeti 1st tee with absolute zero winds.
+ What was the low-light of your round/tournament? That's easy... Shooting 6 over in little or no winds <<Shakes Head>>
+ How did you fare on the leaderboard? Who were you trying to beat? I know I'm destined for The Champions Tour, so the leaderboard means little to me, although I'd hate to finish bottom of the British contingent.

Yeti Round 1
•What was the highlight of your round/tournament?
Just surviving it, with a -7 was a bonus. I tend to find all the trouble there.
•What was the low-light of your round/tournament?
I forgot to set the spin on my 20 yard pitch on 1. Missed a couple real short putts.
•What did you think of the course?
Yeti is a nice course, can cause me all sorts of trouble.
•How did you fare on the leaderboard? Who were you trying to beat?
Trying not to beat me, I just did not want to shoot over par, and on 18 putting short putt for a -7 I went phew, I'm so glad that's over.

Whispering River Round 2.
•What was the highlight of your round/tournament?
Opening up my notes on the course and seeing medium medium conditions, opening the course and seeing 2 MPH winds.
•What was the low-light of your round/tournament?
Missed 1 downhill putt that I would like back, I tend to misread downhill putts on Whispering River, but today I missed less so I fared ok all in all.
•What did you think of the course?
I love that course, you need to play it a few times, I think I played it 5 times before it sank in that the tee shot on 8 must be hit left. It has always been one of my favorites courses here.
•How did you fare on the leaderboard? Who were you trying to beat?
I had a good feeling right from the start and it continued, and from what I could see, and it's early still, I was watching Jim on the leaderboard, then Dogz jumped up on the leaderboard, I was not playing any ghosts though, but as soon as I finally took top spot around 8 I never looked back, I took that as my opportunity to get some strokes back from the ones I lost on Yeti. I shot a 59, 4 shots clear of Jim and Dogz and tied for 1rst after round 2 on the PC side.
•Are you still on your game plan for the tournament?
Yes, my plan in practice was developed to be cautious and keep mistakes to a minimum on the 3 firm courses and give up a few strokes and go as low as possible and be aggressive on the other more forgiving 3. So far after only 2 rounds, it's working just fine.

The Press Tent - What was the highlight of your round/tournament?
- There were no real highlights...playing conservatively and taking advantage of my opportunities.
- What was the low-light of your round/tournament?
- Rakes should be banned...sitting on even par at the 18th, my drive landed in the rake handle next to the bunkers on the right...3 shots to get it out (yes it had morphed into it) and I finish the day 4 over.
- What did you think of the course?
- A great course where you can fine tune your shots.
- How did you fare on the leaderboard?
- Not well.
- Who were you trying to beat?
- Being my first tournament, was just trying to go around mistake free.
- Distance or Accuracy?
- Accuracy...only one thing better than nailing a shot inches from the cup.

Round 1 - Mt Yeti
What was the highlight of your round/?
Definitely the birdie-birdie on 16 and 17. I started reeling a little bit in the middle of the back nine with a bogey-double-par-bogey stretch on 12-15. I had a conversation with myself on 16 teebox, refocused, and hit two great shots to set up a straight in birdie look and nailed it from about 20 feet. That definitely swung the momentum back and it felt great to get back under par, which is all I wanted out of this round.
What did you think of the course?
Always loved this course, but especially in lower winds under 8mph. It strikes the perfect balance of difficulty for what this tournament is trying to achieve.
How did you fare on the leaderboard? Who were you trying to beat?
I am only trying to beat the player in 251st position. I have no idea what will be going on at the top, and I won't be leaderboard watching throughout the tournament. I have a target number for each course, and as long as I hit those, then "come what may" on the results. My target numbers should be enough to get me into the top 250 unless I'm really underestimating how much I think some are going to struggle out there.
What's your gameplan for Whispering River? It is no secret that this is my favorite golf course on the game. My plan is to just enjoy the round. I know there are some numbers out there to be found, especially if the winds stay down. I think survival is key on the front nine, as the course really opens up after hole 11 with some legitimate birdie and eagle opportunities coming in.

Round 1 - Mount Yeti
What was the highlight of your round? I really nailed the approaches on 4 and 5 to a few feet, that really helped get my round going. Chipping in on 17 for eagle was also pretty fine!
What was the low-light of your round? After a conservative tee shot to the middle of the green on the par 3 13th, I grazed the hole on the 40 footer, and then didn't factor enough break for the return putt. Pretty annoying to three-putt, but it happens.
What did you think of the course? Great course. I've only ever played it at high winds, and it is has some sharp teeth then. To step on to the first tee with a gentle breeze was fortunate, and I think I played it pretty well.
How did you fare on the leaderboard? Who were you trying to beat? To shoot a 61 on the first round of Q-School at this course was just a massive bonus. I had no thoughts that I could shoot so low in this tourney. Fantastic start to Q-School.
