Sounds good. Let me know when you've switched systems and we'll play a practice round. Good luck in the meantime. Hit 'em straight!

Played the Sunday version last night.... 10mph winds.... was -7 through 9....Had some tucked pins... Phone started ringing and was on the phone with work and bogied a hole on the back
Ended up -11 for the round.... But alas, during tourney time, Ill blow chunks not get that low... ha ha....
Fun course....
That long par 5 with the retaining wall left side of the green.. I had about 260 to the pin last night... I fired a three wood with a little fade on it... Well it didn't fade, It started toward the water, just barely made it over, hit the retaining wall bounced up to about 20 feet from the pin.... I was elated, then of course missed the eagle putt... HA HA HA

Honestly Phlyer the scores were only that low because of the light winds. In respect of the maths I can do it all very quickly in my head having played it so much now. There's no need to change the elevation calc so simply divide by 3 and +/- accordingly. In respect of the approach, depending on the green firmness and whether the green is running downhill or uphill I find you sometimes need to take off as much as 10 yards with a 3i. Going down to a 9i and it can be as little as 3 yards so anything in between for the other Irons generally works well. Unless you are comfortable with fully lofting a 3W or 5W then I really wouldn't use a Wood on approach as 9/10 will just roll off the other side of the green. Fully lofting of course narrows the red cone severely so I use it with extreme caution (never near water). There's a lot more to take into account like the winds etc. but I can generally handle them too. Reoccurring word but practice is definitely the key. My mate bought the game a few weeks back. He's barely touched it, never practices for tournaments and he wonders why he's not getting better. In saying all that luck plays a big part too. I can play in light winds (3-5mph) and I still struggle to shoot an even par 72 on this course. I just can't seem to dial anything in in order to have those 3-5 footers for birdie..or 10 footers for eagle on the 5's. I get 2-3 foot putts on every hole but they are usually for par or bogey. I know it will eventually fall into place, but It's frustrating when I play this game 2-3 hours a day and I still can't hit the rewarding shots into the pin. Phyler - something I often do before a tournament round is play a round on Little Brook Manor. This builds confidence and you can then approach your tournament round in a much more positive frame of mind. Give it a try, it works for me.

Likewise, never thought of doing that. Worth a shot.

Karl & Sir Paul - I'm sure you guys don't need to do this! Just us folks who are a bit lower in the food chain lol

Just us folks who are a bit lower in the food chain lol I need all the confidence I can muster mate as I'm a contender over two rounds but I'd struggle to make cuts with the other two! I need to try something new to try and cut out the rubbish. Even thought about changing my golfer's attire in case that was the problem!

I dont do Little Brooke, but may give that a go. However, I never start my tourney until after a good hour of playing, When I first start to play the game my drives are all over the place, hooks and slicing so bad. It takes me a good while to get my rhythm, will play a course or two, usually reset multiple times on the 1'st hole because I wind up hooking and slicing so bad its not even funny. About 30 minutes in I start to get my straight shots back, then go do usually the first 9 of the tournament course in practice, then finally just go for it,this is where I start the tournament confident, 1'st hole nerves get me and what do I do, hook or slice it bad off the tee, get over that, find my groove, hope to par or birdie the first hole then I'm off...to make an utter fool of myself and play catch up golf the rest of round one. And there is my process lol

I'm struggling to hit par on this course in any wind condition. I'll get to 2 or 3 under and then the group of bad holes comes..usually starting on the 7th hole. By 9 I'm usually back to even par or +1 or +2...Most rounds I screw up #10 and and there's my stretch of my bad holes and I'm sitting at +3 or +4. I then peck away over the last 8 holes usually coming in at even or +1 or +2 to finish the round. Doesn't matter the wind...doesn't matter how focused I am...I just always have a miss-hit..or a 90% swing when I need 100%. I think my best here is a 2 under 70 in 3-5mph winds. I can put up 6 or 7 birdies into a round...but I average 3-5 bogies a round as well. Frustrating to say the least because I feel I have the fundamentals of the game play pretty good...I just can't shake those inconsistent stretches. I don't think I have ever played a bogey free round in this game.

This is a good course for us medium level players. Just one complaint, wtf is up with the 10th hole green? Jesus its on such a slope that if you are above the hole, forget about it. You miss and you're chipping. Other than that, I agree. Good selection.

I played the Thursday Edition last night. There's going to be a lot of people at -20 or lower next week. I'm excited for people to complain that it's too easy, and that there's no way they can keep up with the winner who's at -36. I don't think they'll be too many people going -20 based on the tournament winds and I can't see any going -30 let alone -36. I played 3 practice rounds. Shot -11 & -13 on the Thursday Edition and -11 on the Sunday Edition. Completed all 4 rounds in -12.

Until this morning, I was thinking -40 would have to be the target in A and maybe B.

The speeds and direction mate so everything basically! 16mph R1, 13mph R2, 10mph R3 and 7mph R4 but most of the time they were either headwinds or those diagonal crosswinds that can be a right pain in the backside, at least for me!
