I've played the original version if the course a few times and I found it enjoyable. I was getting a bit worried about the Cc-D tour after reading the forums, this will be my first tournament (don't have the dlc so can't play this week), but this course is definitely more in line with what I expected as far as difficulty.

As long as it's better than the last two crap courses we've had to play then I'll be happy. Thousand Islands was one of the most miserable rounds of golf I've experienced enjoyment wise. Hao'loi min'aka was an exhibit in poor tropical course design in my opinion. The fairway bunkers coming into play at exactly the point where the fairway turns, leaving you with conveniently pinched landing areas, which really takes all the strategy & thought out of a course and forces you to simply hit fairways & move along.
I wish we could get some of the excellent course recreations out there, just to experience some realistic fairways and normal golf. Maybe even, dare I suggest, a links course?!?!?!

I loved Thousand Islands. I think I'm the only person that did.

I loved Thousand Islands. I think I'm the only person that did. Nope... I liked Thousand Oaks as well and I played pretty good there.. The greens were fast and you had to be delicate with the putter.. I liked it better than this weeks course (hiola what ever) that's for sure.. Landing my ball on a coin sized fairway is not my idea of fun. Now this Fraxinus is my kind of course.. Seems more like real golf..

I'm not sure if I've played Fraxinus yet but I'll be sure to have a couple of practice rounds. From what I've read people are happier on this course so hopefully everyone's happy this week.

I really enjoyed Thousand Islands as well.... once I got the hang of the speeds, I played it decent.... I have yet to play on the fraxinus course... Looking forward to it...Everyone seems to really like it...
I enjoyed Hau'oli for about 11 holes, then well lets say, it bit back! HA HA..... Its definitely one you have to drive the ball near perfect on....Be interesting to see the final FIR stats on it....

The upcoming courses are nice...not a fan of Isla Resaca, I don't see the need for courses in tournaments that are so far from reality. Leave the far fetched fantasy courses alone. Just my opinion.

Thank god ! A normal course.. No tricked up greens. Straightforward and fair! Will be a true test! And very good looking one too.

After Thousand Bogeys and Hau'oli Sh'it I think the above course will suit the majority of us CC members down to a (ahem) tee. Only played a round on the Thursday Edition and the fairways and greens were more than generous. Will be some very low scores in light winds but any 15mph+ and could be a little challenging, especially as it's multi-pin. lol - thousand bogeys and hau-oli sh'it

Will defo be playing Fraximus prior to tourney for some course knowledge. Been really focusing on my putting the last couple of days & now sinking a few with much better lag putts when they don't drop in so here's hoping I'm improving. Absolutely loving this game & the work the guys at TGCTours do compliments it perfectly. Also great having a couple of like minded players to play with...cheers chaps!!!

Played Thursday and Friday, finished -2 and -9 respectively. Past two tournaments I've finished +4 and +5...so I'm thinking a lot of people are going to go low.

Big fan of this one. Might help me get my game back. Played a practice round scoring -9 in 8-14 mph winds; extremely pleased. Could have been better with a doub. bogey on 5, but could have been worse except an amazing bounce on the left front of the green next to the bunker on 17 to leave me a tap-in. Took my time and made some notes like I did when preparing for Hobble Creek and has really done me well. It's making me think a lot more about my shots and helping to get me back to playing like I should be. Can't wait for this one after a disappointing -8 at Hau'oli. Felt so nice to have the ball landing within 3 ft on many of these holes! Also this course has helped me regain confidence on the putting surface! No leaving it inches short from the hole from being too conservative like in the last couple weeks!

I played the Thursday Edition last night. There's going to be a lot of people at -20 or lower next week. I'm excited for people to complain that it's too easy, and that there's no way they can keep up with the winner who's at -36.
