I think wind update is in, have just played first 2 rounds,
Par 71 Med/Slow Greens- Make sure you putt a bit harder than normal and give it more when putting uphill
Round 1- Wind Up to 9 Mph - Shot 63 Round 2- Wind Up to 17 Mph - Shot 69- Man its Brutal in that wind, i had my hands full and nearly went in the water several times
Play safe with this wind, lay up and take your opportunites when you have room to allow for wind as it bites really hard
Round 2 Its so windy out there the birds flew backwards or when you have teed off check behind you to make sure it hasn,t gone backwards
So hope the wind is same for all this week

Looking at the current leaderboard you could be playing web this week pal. But good shooting in that wind. I look forward to battling the elements. It's a tropical course so expected high tropical winds this week. Gonna be a doozy.

Out of the gates with a 61, love the 'new' swing and the fact that I know all people will be playing with same general winds. Mostly calm-ish 8 mph wind, forgot which direction, I'll have a look at my twitch feed at one point to see. Hope people can start getting to grips with the new swing soon. Good luck to all.

-4 95% shots, otherwise could have been a bit better. 7-9 mph winds. -1 same story... had about 6 birdies, lost them all due the power thing . Winds up to 19mph. +5 here I lost my temper lol. Broke one of my controllers (slipped of my hand while screaming at the screen looool) . Ended up in the water many times, the 95% kept coming up just right in the worst time possible. I think it could have kept it lower, but towards the end I was too angry haha. -9 had a few less short shots, or maybe the same but they were in areas where it couldn't hurt me as much like in the previous rounds. Overall, I have liked the course. I have enjoyed the high winds, as it gives a more realistic environment. You really have to be careful if you had a good previous round (Like pinzing and oswinner ) and you gotta be a bit more brave if you didn't.

Very happy with my start so far, 65 in round 1 (missed a couple golden <10 birdies too), and 66 in the windy round 2 (hooked my drive on 16 into the ocean and almost salvaged par).

You play so well in the wind Colin, gonna have to start calling you Irish. You played an awesome first round Luke! I'm in Web now, so I'm just playing this tourney for fun (and try to get my new swing grooved). Unlike you, I'm having a hard time coming to terms with the new swing, but still giving it my best efforts. I started off very slow, getting a few 95-97% shots. Started swinging a bit harder and really got on a roll for a while. Got too confident with the swing after a string of birdies/eagle and tried purposely for a 96% shot on that back 9 par 5 with water in front (hole 15 I think). Anyways, wound up hitting 90% and getting wet, but saved my par. I managed to limp in at -8 first round. I really love this course design, definitely requires some course management and well executed shots if you plan to go low. Had some trouble when I'd get out of position, but was given many opportunities at birdie on the holes I played correctly. I could definitely see this course hosting a major event on the PGA/Euro Tours with some very minor tweaking to green speeds and firmness.

Thanks J.D.
The course is probably the best designed course I have played thus far. The fact it plays tough but still fair in high 19mph winds is a testament to how well it's designed. Note to designers creating tropical themes, make them with tropical high winds in mind like this one.
I'm unsure if you could speed the greens up too much as there are some undulating greens. Maybe you could but some of the pin positions would have to change. The firmness changing to medium would increase the challenge enough I reckon, firm would be unplayable with the small size of the greens. But yeah, my favourite course in the game.

I agree Luke, definitely the best tropical theme course on the game. I think I matched your score in round 2, c-flo's play in those winds was simply amazing (except for that drive on 16) lol. It's great that winds are now equal for everyone, should make for some great competitions.
One bug I did find, was being dropped on the green after hitting it in the water. I believe I saw other posts with the same issue, and HB is already looking into this?

I had a lot of fun with it -- lots of cross winds instead of tail/head, which made for some fun approaches.
I played a hole of round 3 and noticed its 12-13 but the other direction, so that will be interesting to see the scores on that.

First round pretty mild winds shot a 68. Second round had winds 17-19mph and shot a 72. I feel I played not too bad but I sure scramble a lot.

& I did see Irving R. Levine at the top of the leaderboard on R4 after 2 holes, but he was like Paul Dunne at the Open last week.
