OK finished 2 and 3. Went 1 over r2. Not bad. Just made some bad putts. Hit traps short sided myself and couldn't knock it close. Round 3 was good. Until 16. Was -5 hit. Water when I played the right fairway and got greedy and went for left. Dumb move.
Bogied 18 after drive rolled through to heavy rough. Couldn't get up and down. Happy with -4.

I was chuffed with 4 rounds under par, but not with my rounds in lower winds. had -10 in practice, but in the comp felt like Colin Montgomery in a major

Yeah worth the download when you have the spare cash pal. Loa Pali is one of the best courses in the game. I think next weeks course is a delta theme which may be the update too. Another great course.

68,70,68,66 (-12) not going to be good enough
winds 8,17,12,8
I LOVED THIS COURSE swinging with a flick
65 , 72 , 67 , 67(-13) just enough for a little win.. winds were about same speeds for me , didn't have one 95% stroke in 1st round.. but did have numerous in 3rd and 4th rounds , so i suspect either wireless controller runs a little low on battery and is cause OR i was just getting a little careless with my swing, most probably the latter... i liked this course with the big wind on second day as it was really about how good i could scramble to get out with the least amount of damage...

Went 65, 69, 68, 65 for -17 total. Very disappointed with my total. Double bogeyed the easy #9 once. started the tournament with 3 straight birdies. Had visions of a top 10 finish for my first time ever. Don't think it's happening this week

Hey everyone --
I agree with the sentiment that this course is a GREAT Tropical theme course. Luke mentioned that it plays great in both low and high winds and he's 100% right. I played 6-7 practice rounds and most of my winds were 12-15, and while that was a few strokes tougher it wasn't impossible by any means. I found myself with a crazy amount of side-hill 8 footers, so the putting was more difficult than you would have thought with the receptive greens.
Now on to the results...
Shot -24 overall after playing all 4 in a row this afternoon. Here's the round by round breakdown for anyone interested:
Round 1 - 60 (-11). Played a GREAT front 9, including a hole in one on #5, plus a chip in eagle on the drivable #9. Slowed down a bit more on the back 9 but still very happy overall with the -11 posted. A link to the Hole in 1 video below - note that I was even through 4, so this kicked off the rest of my round:
Round 2 - 70 (-1) - Easily my most disappointing round. Got it to -3 through 12 and then flat-out had a terrible driving round. I kept running just into the light rough, and with the winds pounding at 17-19, that made the game a struggle for par instead of a race to birdie. I kept it together on the front 9 but the last 6 holes saw me go +2. Happy to stay under par but this should have been a -4 or -5 round.
Round 3 - 64 (-7) - Winds around 9mph made this a bit easier of a round than round 2. Nothing spectacular, just a solid round with some good shots and very little sweating for par.
Round 4 - 66 (-5) - Wins again around 9-11mph, but from a different direction than Round 3. The struggle here was chipping - I kept finding myself at 12-14 yards with not much green to work with, and this game doesn't really have a shot for that distance. That resulted in me having to drain a few 15+ foot putts for par - which I did only half the time. If I could have gotten my chipping a bit closer, I could have shaved this down to a 62 or so.
There you have it. Hoping that this is good enough to get a Web.com exemption but I'm dubious about it. Hard to know how Round 2 will affect overall scores.
Good luck to all who haven't played, it's a GREAT track.
Nate

Great shooting Nate. Just finished my 2nd round and both rounds echo yours. -10 bogey free, played well. Then -2 second round, finished just a few minutes ago, but feel I should have been a couple of shots lower if not for 2 poor flop shots, bogeying one of the par 3s and then the last hole to leave sour taste into my mouth. My opinions remain, fantastic course!

My opinions remain, fantastic course! Agreed, sounds like our first rounds were very similar. This course really puts a premium on short flops/chips - seemed I had 3 or so per round due to the tucked pins and moderate winds that would push a mishit just off the green. Good luck in your final 2 rounds! Nate

Awesome ace, and -24 is a nice score. We'll have to see what ends up winning it. (Also, how do you save replays? I've just been using the PS4 Share/record feature, I didn't realize TGC had a save feature)
I ended up at -21. As usual, I feel I'm better than average on the windy rounds and below average on the less windy rounds. My putting kills me sometimes, especially when I leave 70 foot putts 30 feet short...
ALSO - Spoiler for 1000 Island: I'm two holes in and this one bird is pissing me off!

ALSO - Spoiler for 1000 Island: I'm two holes in and this one bird is pissing me off! I found the option while watching that replay - you can save a replay as a favorite, and then access it from your Stats area of the game (funny place, but that's where it is). I then used the Xbox record function to record the save. Kind of janky but it works Nice score at -21 -- that's good for 2nd overall on Xbox according to the leaderboard I saw when playing, so it's a strong showing. Nate
