My backlog of PS4 games is kind of ridiculous because of all these games available to PS5 users, but I might give this one a whirl sometime. (No promises, though)

(No promises, though) I think if any developer deserves it, it would be these guys. The sheer volume of totally free content they've put out there the last 4 years to totally revamp the game is bordering on insane. Still a great game if you just want something to play where you can sit back and relax. Fortunately I already owned and played the majority of the PS+ Collection but I think I still have 7 or 8 that I've never played. Problem is that includes Days Gone, Persona 5, and Monster Hunter so that's probably a few hundred hours with just them.

New update today that gives a PS5 upgrade to the VR in the PS4 version. Roughly translated the PS5 version still does not support VR but if you play the PS4 version in VR on a PS5 then you get a graphical boost. I played for 10 or 15 minutes just to check it out and it does look clearer than it used to. Still not perfect, and if you want to use your multi tool at all you'll need to plug in a PS4 controller but it's far more playable now than it used to be. Mostly just sat there and watched the sky and it works really well for that.

This is a labour of love for the dev’s - and it is awesome to see. I bought it when it was released. Got frustrated after about a couple of months and didn’t play for a couple of years. Went back to it after one of the major updates and it is a different game. Though found the Atlas too grindy to muster the enthusiasm required to undertake a re-start and re-do it! On a slight tangent but with a recurring theme of dev’s and supporting their community I would have to recommend ‘The Long Dark’. Great content - regular large updates and additions to the game. It’s not for everyone - but there are enough YouTube videos out there to look before you buy. I love it. play well y’all. DP.

Nearly 5 years since launch and another large, free update has released. Mostly cosmetic changes and a lot of lighting changes for the new consoles and PC. Worth booting it up yet again just see the improvements.

Just past the game’s 7th birthday and they’re still releasing new, free updates. For me personally this has turned out to be the one I was waiting for.
Was excited when it first came out for PSVR as this seemed like a game that would be amazing in VR. It turned out decent enough but the graphics were a blurry mess that made it tough to play. A later update boosted the graphics for PS4 Pro users and made the game a slightly less blurry mess. Game was updated again for PSVR2(first game I played when I got one) and it was once again a slightly less blurry mess. Played a bit but still underwhelming. Yesterday’s update once again boosted the visuals and it is no longer a blurry mess at all. Night and day difference and it looks amazing in VR finally. Think I’ll be spending a decent chunk of time with this game again over the next little while.
Not sure if anyone else here has a PSVR2 but if you do I highly recommend giving this game a try. If you don’t have a PSVR2 and like this game I would almost consider it a system seller and a great reason to go out and buy one.
