I had in my deleted save 500K for rare fauna and more then 100k for rare flora...I realy need to find S Class Scanner and at least A Class Multitool. Picked up a pretty sweet multi-tool upgrade at a space station. It upgrades the scan visor to increase its' range along with multiplying the scan bonus for flora and fauna by several thousand percent each. Basically for each new plant I scan I get almost 22, 000 units and for every creature I scan I've got anywhere from 20, 000 to just over 100, 000 units depending on rarity. Just a few minutes on a new planet and I can easily rake in a half million or more units with no effort at all.

All I can suggest is go to the alien that sells multi tool blueprints on each space station. Go to purchase upgrade modules and if there is an (S) rated scan visor upgrade, buy it. Install it and check what attribute buffs it gives you. If it's a beefy unit upgrade, keep it. If not just disassemble it and you'll get a tecnology module and possibly some other less common materials that give good value for the 430ish nanite clusters the upgrade cost.

Took a lot of time and effort but I've finally fully repaired Artemis' old ship. In the end it cost me a couple million units for technology modules but that's a small cost for a ship with 48 storage slots plus an extra 8 technology slots. The large refiner proved to be a godsend as I could make vast amounts of chromatic metal and paraffium out of small quanties of common elements instead of my seemingly never ending search for copper and paraffium deposits.

Now we're talking. Beyond update coming this summer was announced last week with more multiplayer, blah blah whatever. Just announced moments ago on Playstation's new State of Play broadcast is that Beyond will also include PSVR support. And it's free. And it's awesome. nevadaballin

Apparently the update will also bring a third, still unannounced feature to the game as well but for some reason I’m expecting it to be more blah, blah, whatever when compared to VR support.

Starting to get the urge to play this again, but with VR and another huge update coming soon it makes me feel like holding off for hopefully just another month or two. Not yet sure if this is going to be another update like Next that changed so many fundamentals that you almost had to start over.

Beyond update will be releasing on August 14 and brings full VR support along with it plus some other features that I find totally irrelevant compared to VR.
