I'm thinking this is retro-active so lets test it out
Post your tour, round #, hole, wind speed and wind direction...the more info we get the more we can pair up events and see how it's playing out.
We've been using the proper naming convention for a few weeks now so it should be the same for all folks.

Yeah think the previously created tourneys are set winds now, just played a few holes on xbox us open practice tour and day 1 was 9/10 mph. Then switched to single round mode and it was 4-5 different direction

Thread over on HB seems to confirm wind direction is the same across platforms (yes!!) but I have yet to see if the wind changes directions/speeds in a new round within same tournament and how much it fluctuates on a given hole, and across a full round.

Doyley, Maybe you've already answered this somewhere else but what are the "Expected" winds every round? As in, is there any influence put in by you or HB regarding wind amounts per round (8-10mph round 1, 13-15mph round 2...), or is it randomly assigned per tournament and then consistently set across platforms?

I'd like to see results too. I think it's important to clarify that different platforms are definitely having the same winds

Most have actually finished their rounds already (I guess), why don't you guys set up a test tournament to check how everythging works?

Totally random from what I've been told. We have no input and I don't think it's something we can request. There's a way to ensure they are the same across platforms - but they are randomly set - but will differ between holes slightly and can change between rounds to different winds/direction. It's really a game changer.

I was playing Cannucks U.S. Open practice and the winds seemed like they were working the same. Had 4-7mph winds first round I think but cannot recall the direction and 10-12mph wind coming from left to right on the first tee if I have remembered correctly

I'll just leave this thread up - events are created in 8 hours so there will be lots of posts starting tomorrow. Initial posts on HB forum are very postive.

I am sure I remember reading somewhere that the winds act like seeds for randomly generating stuff. So as long as the tournaments are set up with the exact same names with upper and lowercase the same, then I assume that the winds will be the exact same across the platforms.

Played the Global wind gala tournament on XB1. The winds stayed around 10 and 11 MPH the first round. May have been a 9 in there somewhere. First hole was 11 from behind. Started round 2, the winds started on hole one at 14 MPH behind and stayed between 14 and 15 MPH for the first 5 holes. Had to quit after that.
Started the same tournament on PC, the winds on the first round were the same as they were on the XB1. Only played 5 or 6 holes though. Winds at 10 and 11 MPH.
Seems to work as advertised.
Pretty excited about it.

16mph winds in R4 of PGA straight after 5mph in R3, so yeah it is retroactive. Funnily enough I did better in R4 than R3(?!)

Seems winds are very stable however. Played rd 4 of euro and had 13-15 winds with it being 14 most of the time. Then US Open qualifying and same thing (14mph) A bit boring if there are no gusts or dynamic changes.
