This looks good. I think in the interest of fairness that the wind should remain in the same direction, for longer, but wind obviously moves in the real world. I also agree with Doyley is that there could be more range. You never have a wind constantly blowing 17mph. It might be that hot for 30 second, but then drop to maybe 5mph, then gust back up. So would be good if they could adjust that in future patches. Looks promising! It's a step in the right direction and certainly fairer than what we had before, but could use some tweaking. You're right that wind changes direction but it very rarely goes from north to south in the blink of an eye like i've witnessed on some of the videos. Let's see. Par 5 580 yards with 17 mph from the back: Drive 310 yards. 3W vor even 5 Wood and I am in the green. Same hole with the Wind in your face: Drive 250. 3 Wood 220 yards. Leaves 110 yards against the wind. 9 iron, hard to judge with this wind, especially if it blows a little from the side. I just do not see the "step in the right direction" with this bug, especially in combination with strong winds. It is a wind waiters paradise now!

Good luck holding any of the US Open Greens with a 17mph tailwind

Just played my first training round for Euro Tour. Had the same gust as my ghosts just 180 degree different direction. This update sucks beyond description. We did not get the same wind directions just the same wind speeds and now mostly strong winds. No fun whatsoever.

Mostly strong winds? 9, 18, 15 and 5 in web.com and all going the same way by all accounts. I would only call 18 strong and 15 fairly strong. As for different directions, people seem to be complaining that only on the Euro tour, wonder whats gone wrong there? Shame, because when it's worked as it seems to have on web, then its a right game changer. I feel your pain if its going the opposite direction on Euro though. Hope it can get fixed if this is the case.

If the wind direction is changing as much as spoken of, will people not wait until they get a tailwind so they can hit ball further? If that is possible then I guess 'wind waiting' not fixed....

Just played first two rounds for the Champs tourney: RD1 - Winds were 15-17. Direction was pretty consistent at SE. RD2 - Winds were 6-7. Direction was S and changing to SE on some holes. RD3 - Didn't play completely, but first hole winds were 14 and direction was S.

The same in Round 4 of the PGA Tour event. I am waiting at the 4th tee to get the same chance as all my ghosts (just post patch ghosts) who had 17 mph tailwind on the par 5. I have 17 into my face. Windwaiting hoorah. Sorry, but that is bollocks.

In US Open Practice Tour i had wildly changing winds in Round 1 but pretty constant winds in Round 2
Almost as if it's set up to "swirl" around on some days be consistent on others

btw, i don't think it's right to say that we are getting "Mostly" high winds now.
First 2 rounds of US Open tour - single digits.
2nd round of Euro Week 23 - Very low.

Unfortunately i dnt think it will ever be perfect, sorry to quote another game, but on tw14 u could be in club chat, talking to whom u will play say a tournament with, both load it up, hole 1 on the tee, same time, one has headwind, one has tailwind, nothing you can do about it, the end of the day were all playing the same wind strengh, whatever direction it is, ok i get the arguement about head n tail wind, its no difference than say rory teeing off at 9am 10 mph headwind, speith tees off at 2pm, wind stilll strong 10 mph, bt its turned he has tailwind, my point is were all playing the same strength, no one has 1 mph, and u play 16 mph, were all playing the same.

Yeah, it's too early to tell the wind distribution but I think it'll even itself out realistically. There will be tournaments with all 4 calm and all 4 strong winds.
