Dear TST enthusiasts, This is a special day/week! First and foremost, because we will have our pre-christmas party in the land of Santa: www.visitfinland.com/en/articles/meet-santa-claus/I'm taking you to Linna Golf Course, a beautiful Finnish course that should provide you with a pleasant challenge before you visit Santa. Secondly, because we have some important news to share with you. Long story short: as of January 1st the True Sim Tour will switch back to Master swing difficulty. We know that some of you will be relieved and others will be disappointed. Given the declining participation numbers, feedback from players and limitations that come with Legend for selecting courses and conditions, we feel this is the best way forward for TST; we hope you'll join us in making the remainder of season 10 a success. How did you swap to that reverse camera angle while putting? I assume using the free-fly cam is verboten, but I can't seem to figure out how to get into that viewNever mind, found the putting camera view in setting. Never used that before! |

Well after taking a while off, I'm back because I have just enough time in the schedule to fit some TST in again. Totally not returning because of home country bias or nothing...
So long story short: the reason this got cut for a while is because I barely have the time and energy to put into the game and this got chosen for 2 reasons. First, it's a difficulty swing (until the new year) that I play nowhere else and second, it's a style I play nowhere else. Combine both and it was easy to choose. Especially since it takes sharpness to play this swing and I haven't had it lately. Still don't think I do but trying anyway.
Anyway, my return round was a not particularly great +3. Could barely score, putter missed almost everything. Swing was not tuned in too well. Nothing different to the usual for this season for me.
Second round back is completely different and could make one question if the same guy played it. Missed a total of 3 putts (and had a stretch of holes 14-16 where I made some sick long putts, making me think I was a putting god for a sec). I was on pace for -8 after 17 before a slow approach pitch found water and gave me a double in the end, but still got my best round so far this season at -6 and very competitive even amongst the entire field.
So yeah -3 after 2 rounds. Under par for the first time since I think week 2. All it took was a short break from this and a course fairly close to my area. Of course, how else could it have gone?

So I dropped into the Society to sign back up ready for 1st January.
Seemed rude not to play so gave it a shot...
Round 1 -4
Round 2 -2
Happy to go under par so far. No cut I presume so will try the final 2 rounds later in the week.
