Does this effect all methods, including mousers like me? Where do you correct this? Doesn't affect us Art, we still get no help from anywhere. Thanks Bova, and Merry Christmas!

Thanks Bova, and Merry Christmas! You can’t change DPI on a mouse then? 🤔 As a PC gamer I think mouse is extremely tough and I salute those guys that play the game with a mouse 💪. No vibration aid available also so a double salute 🤟

Thanks Bova, and Merry Christmas! You can’t change DPI on a mouse then? 🤔 Of course you can Ben, but what does that have to do with Steam? My concern was "controller support" and whether that applied to mousers too.

David said you get no help from anywhere. Surely the ability to change the DPI can help, the same as being able to adjust a controller in steam. That’s all I meant

So if that is an issue everyone has the ability to use a controller. Some players using a controller turn the rumble off. As I say, there are choices everyone can make. The rumble works with or without “steam controller support”.

Just a matter of what you are used to. If I used a mouse for golf I’d be a permanent member of Q-School.

Strange though it be, I find using the mouse feels a more natural way to make a golf stroke in a golf game rather than flicking a stick on a controller. However, personally, because I suffer getting pins and needles in my hands and fingers regularly when holding a controller is the main reason I use mouse and now find I can only play racing games solo as I can pause during a race to get some feel back in my digits, which obviously takes away from the enjoyment of racing your mates online. What I meant about support for mouse, Ben, is that the chances of a thousand mouse players all playing with the same mouse is very slim, in comparison to controller users, and that every make of mouse plays differently, plus every mouser has his own way to set the mouse up, so getting the type of calibration support a controller user gets is not there.

I am one of those people that will only use keyboard and mouse for first person shooters as those type of games feel horrid with a controller for me. This game works well with a a controller and a mouse equally. Going way back to the EA Tiger games on PC I used 3 click, I just can't get on with a mouse or I would use one People have their settings on mouse but there are many different ways to swing with a controller. Some use it placed on a table or their lap, some use 2 fingers or thumbs to swing. Personally I use my right thumb horizontally with the right stick but others use left stick. Find your own method that works for you that's part of the fun, be it controller or mouse there is no right or wrong with the method or peripheral you use. I just recommend not using Official Xbox controllers because of the low polling rate. I agree with Sky Blue Ben that a steering wheel especially with force feedback for racing games takes them to a different level for immersion. Also the same for a HOTAS for flight Sims.

I would preemptively lock this thread before longpole Googles DPI... Seriously though I think this year I've kind of come to realise that there's so much variation across platforms, controllers, mice, what settings people prefer etc. you're best just going with what you enjoy and not worrying too much about whether another someone else is gaining a shot or two somewhere. I think we all forget how good we are at this game now we've all played so much. When you see people try to pick it up on twitch it's a really difficult motion to repeat and we've all got it nailed over the years. Best to just play how you enjoy and go with it. I think the controllers I've used during my time on here are stock Xbox, Xbox elite, Dual Shock 5 (I think, whatever one came with the ps5) and the Wolverine V2. I actually did use a (probably banned) Power A during TGC2 /19 because I was a broke student and it was cheap but, in my experience it was also shite! Obviously the DS5 and V2 are just miles ahead of the stock Xbox ones for this game because of the polling rate but, weirdly, 21 on master / legend on the Xbox controller was probably my favourite gameplay tee to green. Felt really challenging. Obviously not aimed at anyone that, just thinking out loud. If anything it's aimed at myself. Looking forward to playing regularly again and a lot less than before but trying to enjoy it more. It's easy to become a grind and then you think what's the point. I did have a laugh at myself last night though. Having spent the best part of a year spreading the virtues of a worthwhile challenge making this game much better, I fired up Metro Exodus (which seems great btw) and met with five difficulty options: reader, easy, medium, hard, hardcore... I went straight to reader haha But yeah, Merry Christmas folks and catch up with everyone again more in the new year. Have a good one. And thanks again to fransslabak for both giving legend a go for a fair amount of time, and then changing it back for the guys that prefer master. I know we'll all have different preferences but I don't think anyone can really say Frans didn't try his best to keep things fresh or act with the playerbase in mind. ( Sorry for going off topic Frans, it IS a party though! 😉 )

Went and finished -2, +2 for -3.
Was feeling fine and then started hitting everything slow at the end. It cost me 3 shots. Can't have anything good. Only almost.
For how much I genuinely hate this swing difficulty, this week was the best I've swung. It just doesn't show in any stat sheets! And it was fairly enjoyable for once... but also since there's some home country bias in there, I think it was more down to a familiar surrounding going around the course. Always gotta love going around a course which is not even an hour away from you.
Kiitos ja kippis! Hyvää joulua! (little early but it is the pre-Christmas party so it makes sense to be a little early)
