So you are asking the tour to make things easier for you rather than you practicing and getting better?

So you are asking the tour to make things easier for you rather than you practicing and getting better? Do you have any idea how many hours I have in this game between career mode, the tour and rangering? So please don't talk to me about practicing. Sheesh. Some people just talk and have no idea what they're talking about.

Some people just talk and have no idea what they're talking about. Just going to leave this here. Do send me the list of courses you have designed.

I love it when the problem is EVERYONE else but the person having the problem.

One suggestion I came up with is, instead of splitting CC into 2 sets of flights like it used to be, how about adding flights to Kinetic? This would put the better players in what is now CC-(A-C) (above 50th percentile of the player base) onto a tougher schedule. I get that Kinetic is supposed to be akin to the Korn Ferry tour and is considered a "Pro Tour" but it always seemed weird to me that 75% (rough estimate) of the TGCT player base was playing one course while the other 25% (again, rough estimate) was spread out over 3 courses. Going back to the topic (if there ever was one)... This! I've been advocating for ages towards a more even distribution of societies (and hence courses) among flights. I absolutely understand the considerable limitations and challenges that come with it (recoding the site has been mentioned), but man would it be cool if Elite and Kinetic (I'm fine with leaving the Plat maniacs alone) had more flights and CC had fewer. There are 3 societies for 14 flights, so what I mean (thus extending Erixon's ideas) would be something like 4 Elite, 4, Kinetic, 6 CC or even 4-5-5 instead of 1-1-12. Cheers and everybody love everybody! Kevin

What does my designing courses have to do with any of this? He applied to you the same argument you applied to Art. Cheers! Art was commenting on my lack of practicing to better myself when he has no idea how many hours I've put into this game. Well I'll tell you. 545.5. That's how much practicing I have. And it has made me better. But it's not going to make me shoot well on a course that's not designed for my skill level. At this point, no amount of hours is going to make me that good. I have reached my peak. On a typical low level CC course I can shoot around par. Maybe a stroke or two over. That's as good as it gets for me. So when I shoot 28 over par, that is not a CC level course. I don't care what anyone wants to call it. That is a course that's made for Kinetic or even Elite. Hell, I've had better rangering rounds on courses created for Platinum. Okay, none of this has anything to do with how much I practice. And for anyone to assume that they know how much I put into this game is insulting.

Is this just a really long winded way of saying that you would like to become a scheduler for the CC tour? What sort of course features would you be looking to include and exclude to deem it to have an appropriate challenge level for players in CC? Any specific examples of courses that you think would be ideal for CC that would make the majority of players happy to be playing? Any other form of helpful insight that you can offer that would improve things instead of just saying the status quo is awful?

Any specific examples of courses that you think would be ideal for CC that would make the majority of players happy to be playing? Any other form of helpful insight that you can offer that would improve things instead of just saying the status quo is awful? If we have to go on the assumption that the tier system itself isn't going to change (separate courses for CC-A through F and then G through L) the obvious solution is courses that play mid way between the high and low skill levels. So courses that I score between 3 and 5 over per round or total scores of 12 to 20 over for my level. Do I have a list of courses off the top of my head? No, of course not. Could I come up with a list given what's in the database? Sure, if I want to dedicate my life to this game. I'm just not sure I'm ready to do that. But I do know this much, and I do try to ranger as many courses as I can, had I tested this week's course, I would have never approved it for CC. This would have been a flat out kinetic level course, MINIMUM. But then we both know what happens had I said that. The scheduler would have come back to me and said "Well, the course is already scheduled. We just want to know if there are any illegal pins" So nothing I would have to say would make any difference and we both know this. Were there any illegal pins in this course? No, of course not. In fact, most of the greens had very subtle breaks on them, which is its own kind of difficult. But that's another story. The bigger problem this week was getting to the greens. When I put a shot dead center of the fairway and end up in the water, that is a HUGE RED FLAG FOR ME. So many fairways sloped to the point where there was no way to keep the ball out of the rough or trap. At least not at my level. This whole conversation is moot because we both know nothing is going to change, which makes me a total idiot for even going on this rant. By now, after all these years, I should know better. Look, we both know I'm just waiting to get my 5th strike so I can go back to Q-School and quit the tour and just concentrate on being a ranger. I'll be much happier that way. And with that, I'm calling it a night.

This is something I totally don't understand. I stopped playing on the tour last season because I wasn't enjoying it. I now play most of my rounds on Pro difficulty and like it a lot better. It's more fun and less stressful. So why do you keep playing tour rounds if they're such a pain for you to do so? No one is making you. You could already be happier.
