Hoping to stream some playthroughs of a few of the alternate publishes this evening (around 8pm GMT, so 3 hours from now). Also to bring to your attention that there'll be a pretty standard Form to fill out. Just so judges know what you were going for.  Edit: Running a little late on dinner prep so probably 8.30-8.45. |

Well, it’s passed midnight in New Zealand, so we can declare the window officially open. I’m away until Sunday night, but look forward to kicking off with playthroughs next week.

Deadline extension - August 10th (midnight)
With yet more instances of frequent crashes now coming in for PC designers, I wanted to put an early announcement of a further deadline extension for the contest so that nobody has to stress about completing a course with buggy software. I've shared as much info as I can with HB/2K, but if any of you are experiencing this, a post in their server might help show - in the past, they've ignored me until they realised others were having the same issue.
For those of you worrying this will delay judging, it won't massively. Judges have already been assigned the groups they will judge and are starting to play them so that they can assess their rankings as the courses come out. Hopefully that means we can get group results pretty quickly after the window closes as they'll only have a few courses outstanding - should have group results by the end of August at absolute latest, hopefully before. We'll go as quickly as we possibly can, whilst ensuring we are as thorough as we need to be.

Good question - you haven’t been forgotten! I will be making that announcement just after the end of the window. Myself and two other judges are playing the alternate courses to rank them as a group - when we know how many courses we need to fill (after the end of the window), we will then pull up from the alternates. At the moment, I know I will need at least two, but I suspect it’ll likely be more come deadline day. |

Although I have only a few crashes, save frequently pc designers, I've actually gotten to a point of setting a timer every ten minutes to remind me to save and after my design session, I copy and paste a new file to my desktop. Knock on wood I haven’t had any crashes lately. Those that do you may want to clear out your download cache in the steam download. Also changing the theme I heard and then back to what you want might help.
