World Cup of Design - Season 9 - Discussion Thread

As of this moment, you can start designing. Group stages will be drawn tomorrow evening at 8pm GMT. Invites were sent to highly placed design contest participants first, then the rest of the field was filled, first based on number of Tour Worthy courses in the database, with a further tiebreaker if needed as the number of Approved courses in the database.
We have eight alternates and I would strongly recommend you design courses and publish them when ready. You are not bound by the same publish window, so just work on a course at your own pace. However, you need to message me when your course is published so I have confirmation that's the one to be used. Once the design window closes, if there have been designers who don't finish a course, I will select from the alternate pool based on the course(s) that I think most deserve a spot - so do give it your best. Typically, we have at least two or three DNFs most contests, so it's worth giving it a go.

- Do create a WIP thread for your course in the World Cup section of the forum.
- You may not publish a beta for the purposes of feedback. If you're keen to publish one as a backup, send me a message so that I'm aware and can advise.
- You must start a new course file for this contest. No pre-existing courses or plots may be used.
- I strongly recommend you avoid the winter theme - the green grids really impact judging and will prohibit tour use.
